I just looked at the pics of Erics car is for sale, then the Bfest pic.. I realised my Z26 is missing the top trim piece for the windshield. My damn parts car is missing it too..

If anybody has one or knows where to get one let me know! Thanks!

I dont know if you can tell in these pics or not, but its the plastic/rubber trim piece...

Then a older pic that might show that its missing better...

Even though in the pics the reflection makes it look like its not missing, believe me it is.. Its causing water to leak on the headliner a bit...

Just FYI

Having that missing does NOT cause your seam there to leak into your headliner. Its just a trim piece. Mine is still missing, and I do not have a leak there. Fixing it will NOT fix your leak. Your windshield seam/seal may be leaking, which is a bigger problem.

As he says, that rubber is just a trim piece, ok...what it does...it prevents dirt from getting inside.
The windshield is glued in, at this point it has to be sealed as well.

Lay down quality masking tape on the windshield and the roof. Hit it with Windo-Weld and smooth it out with your finger, then remove tape. That's what I'm going to do with mine (still haven't yet) and what guys on NastyZ do to create flush-mount windows rather than the old-school chrome trim type.

I just had my windshield replaced and that piece was on a long spool the guy had cut to fit, so I am sure you could get it from any windshield installer. If your windshield is leaking sounds like the old windshield adhesive they used (butyl) not sure on the spelling, has dried up and cracked. You can try to keep patching it but will probably keep having problems

Thats exactly what i was looking for. Im going to go ahead and either get a new windshield put in or at least get this one re-sealed and get the trim piece put on.. Thanks!
