I recently picked me up a '96 Base Model in Cayenne Red that is mint but as usual the gas dor hinge is bad. I thought I was done buying Beretta's and gave the few good hinges I had to online buddies who our into Beretta's.

Anyone have any leads onto where I can get one. I am a body shop mgr. and GM deleted this part. Why, I will never understand. I used to have all of the yards we use keep an eye out for good hinges and they would hook me up. They are pretty dried up.

Is Mike Morris reputable? He emailed me on May the 3rd that he had a hinge and gave me his email addy for PayPal. I immediately paid him. A week went by no hinge. I thought I will give it a few more days; still no hinge. I then emailed Mike and he said he would send out another one Priority Mail. I replied that I would pay him for the second hinge if the other hinge ever arrived as I know the USPS can screw up. So I gave him the benefit of the doubt.

Well today after another week still no hinge. I was just wondering if anyone else has been ripped off by this guy? After what I read about him; he seemed like a pretty standup kinda person. Guess you can't always believe what ya read. I am just curious if anyone else has had problems with him before I really blast him on the feedback section of the board. I am pretty upset because this car was suppossed to be in a car show today as I have it completely restored minus hinge. I am pretty irked.

One topic on this issue is more than sufficient I would think.

Situation resolved...hinge should arrive Wednesday. Slight mix up and Mike admitted he dropped the ball. The guy is alright.
