Anywho who what is up with the gay posts? But i just went in for my second test for my emissions and i have good news and bad. well here are the results

The cylinder heads have been changed old ones burnin oil and i dont see how this could affect it so much any ideas would be great on how to fix this prob. i have till november 20th

The numbers are definately off.  I would check the engine sensors and catalytic convertor.  Did you get an O2 reading?

no im going to investigate more tommorow in auto class (still in H.S.) and run it on the computer for trouble codes. the guy at the emissions place said well take it to the machanic and i said sure if you would like to pay for it then i will otherwise i am the mechanic!

My Father-In-Law's truck kept failing emissions and someone told him to put a bottle of dry-gas in the tank and take it back.  He did it the next day and it passed no problem.  Don't know what it did, or if it would even work on Berettas, but it's cheap..lol

any idea of where to get it i thought of putting a mix of alcahol and gas might help because alcahol burns extremely clean or i might throw some premium in it i should do the pre emmisions work such as filter, oil and what ever else egr i have fixed crossed wire so a malfunction o2 sensor i replaced today it was lazy so im stumped

Find the problem, don't try to cover it up with dry gas.  These engines run pretty clean, so there is a definite problem with yours.  My 69 Firebird 400 ran cleaner than your numbers!

Definately fix the problem rather then cover it up.  Numbers like that point to a serious issue in the sensors or ECM (maybe the Engine too but more likely the emissions system).  Those issues could cause more problems in time such as detonation or other catastrophic engine failure.

i am wondering if maybe my alternator has something to do with this. Why, because when i really get on the car and pin it to the floor the battery gauge and lights dim significantly and here is my theroy if im lacking electrical power then the coils lack the ignistion power which in turn creates less of a spark which means more unburnt fuel. but the engine is brand new it has less than 10000 on it, so that is pretty much out injectors are just over a year o2 has been replaced(lazy) egr is now been cleaned along with the passageway and the pintles, knock sensor less than 5000 on it, cps new with motor, ICM new with motor coils from orginal but ohms good, but the question is how do you jump from a real low CO reading to an abnormaly high reading in a matter of a few months and and the hydros are reading much better?

That could be the key.  A low spark could cause insufficient burn in the cylinders and that would describe the readings quite well.  Although it may not be the volts but the amps causing more of the problems.  It is relatively simple to remove the alternator then just take it into a parts store for a test.  If it is bad then of course replace it but then do a system check on the ECM for trouble codes after you run it for a bit as sometimes a bad alternator can kill the ECM too.  Then run it on the machine and see what the readings are.

the reason like i was saying was when i would get on the car hard the volts would drop significantly and when they dynoed it for the emissions maybe that has something to do with the higher emissions and i did change it today so it did seem to make a difference in the idle and overall performance of the engine also i think my loose rocker are had something to do with the emissions because it was not clicking it was more like a clacking because of how loose it was so that could have added to the problem. but i will find out what it is also what does the code 62 (OBD 1) gear switch failure mean? the car shifts real nice and firm so maybe a glitch?
