Hey guys, there's something else with my car.. 96 base 3.1.  It's got 105K miles on it and has been running fine.  Even with this noise it runs ok, but the noise is hard to describe.  Almost sounds like a lawnmower.. hah.  or a helicopter taking off.  It's really loud and really annoying--as I drive it slowly goes away--for the rest of the time during the day that I drive it it's fine.  Turn it off and back on--gone.  But when I drive home(roughly 2 hrs driving), then start it the next morn, it's the same thing all over again.  Any ideas?  thanks!

Can you tell where it is coming from(use a screwdriver and put it to your ear). Well that won't work if it's a vac leak. Are you sure it's not an exhaust leak. All I can say is check everything.

It's definitely coming from the engine, I just have no idea what it is beyond that.

How is the oil pressure? Need more info if you can get it.
