I have my 3500 engine sitting in my garage it has 36k miles and has 190+ pounds of compression on all 6 cylinders. I want some ideas of what I should do to my motor before installing it should I pay to rebuild it? I dont have tons of money but I want to make it the best I can for around 1000 dollars. I am really hoping to get into the low 14s with it.
Now heres where one of you great guys comes in. I need help with it I really want someone who knows what there doing to swap motors in it and give me an idea on what I should do to the engine to get the best I can out of it.
I am willing to pay someone to do it for me. I dont have the space to do it and I just dont have the ability to do it by myself yet. I am willing to bring my car and engine on a trailer to anyone who has done it before and leave it with you as long as it takes to get free time to work on it hopefully by april-may it would be done but I am really open to any idea. And Just give me a price on doing it and let me see if I can make it happen I really want this to work for someone so please give me any ideas you have or any advice at all. I live in Montana just fyi but I am very willing to travel.
This is just Kinda a dream for me and I want to throw it out there and see if anyone would be interested. If you would like to talk to me you can pm me anytime and i will get back to you. Thanks for reading this

I am willing to bring it to you and leave it until it can get done and pay for as much time as it takes you. If there were anyone I would chose to do it it would be you to. I know you dont know me but I had my first beretta before I could drive so I have been part of both sites for 5 years now and I know you are the best you know how to get the most out of theses engines and cars. By the way my first name is Vance I am from Billings,MT.

With a 5-speed and headers a 3500 can go 14.1 at 98mph if you drive it right. You shouldnt need many mods to make you go 13's. Probably just a cam and a set of drag radials.

What cam would be best I am guessing one of wot? I do use my car as a daily driver until it snows then I use the truck. And really honestly I have wanted to do this since I had my first car and now the peices are kinda falling into place where I have the money and time to really try and get it done. I know you know a lot as well Barry so any info or help from the guys who have done it before is great. It would be nice to find somone within a 1000 miles of me but I know most live closer to the east coast.

Sounds like me alot. Haha. PM sent to 3X00, to follow up. He's really the only one I'd let touch my car swap wise. My payment would be cash in hand, and I'd stay in the area till' it's done. I'd just rent a car to run around CT in. LOL, but seriously.

Yes 2.2H8TA would be a quick turn around since he's not only in PA, but at the same time he is simply a 3400 swap, And if he wanted to he could have an engine delivered to me before he brings the car for me to do something to. But his initial contact was for the swap only which honestly if you have everything ready to go can be done very easily in a day.
Montana is a bit of a run to get the stuff here but it all depends on how determined you are to get it done. I know there are closer people to you that can easily perform this swap as well, I'm not trying to shrug off work, but I would hate to see you drive all the way out here when you have Dusty and Devon out there in Wisconsin and they have done a 3500 in a 3100 car before, so its not like its new work for them, Dusty is also VERY intelligent when it comes to this stuff as well. Obviously I'm not saying they have time to do it, but its worth asking if they do just to see, because 2200 miles is a long way to tow to get an engine swap done.
And to be honest yes most live toward the east SIDE of the states More central like Michigan, Ohio, Iowa, Illinois, but definitely not the east cost... Between Me Robert and Brendan, I think we are the only active members ones living in coastal states, at least North East coastal states, Geoff is coast as well but still 14hrs into the dirty south.
Cam wise, the best thing to do is run a profiler on WOT-Tech's store for $15 tell him what you want to do and your goals and what you have planned for the motor already and he'll pick the most compatible cam for what you want to do and will be running.

Well If anyone else would be interested in doing it I will make the same offer to anyone who has done it and has some down time. Closer would be nicer but I will take what I can get kinda situation.
But just talking to you Jon if nobody else is interested, I am willing to take my car that far if thats what it takes I am very serious about this. If I have to tow it or drive it or whatever to get it done I am all for it my car runs great so I really would not have any issue driving it anywhere. I could ship the engine to you to get it started on and closer to being ready and drive there in my car and stay at a motel for however long it takes and help as much as I can if thats what would work best I am really open to any idea. And sorry I did not mean to say everyone lives on the east coast but most live closer then me but thats not hard at all.

My shop is in Chicago, i have some of the needed 3500 pieces here already.
I have done a quite a few Beretta swaps already over the past few years. My swaps have been clean installs.
