what about the 2.8 i have been seeing the 3400 the 3.1 and ever thing like that but have not seen nothing on the 2.8  is there something i need to know about them if so let me know what you all think about the 2.8 amd things i can do to make it faster and things  

Swap in a 3400.  It is worth the effort.

If you don't want to swap the motor out. You can always swap for a 3100 or 3400 top end. I have pretty much the complete top end to do the swap if your interested. There's nothing wrong with the 2.8. PM me if your interested in the top end.

If you want to go all 2.8, there's noone better I can think of to talk to than Norm 88GT, whose topic about the "CORBRETTA" is pinned at the top of the Performance Mods section.

Yea he bored it out to a 3.2L.  If he was doing it again I'm sure he would just put a 3400 in and call it a day.

I talked to a guy with an alero with a 3400 and he said that the car would barely hit 120 and it took forever.  isn't the 3400 better than that?

All of them I have seen in the Beretta were pretty stout.  But perhaps they were all swapped into 5-speed cars.
