YUP!! You read it right, I'm selling the car already. I've decided I want to go in a different direction and am looking for a RWD V8.

It is an ''06 Impala SS with 56,200 miles. It is black with black leather interior. The car comes with the 5.3 liter LS4 V8 engine with Displacement On Demand, which was renamed Active Fuel Management in the later part of 2006. The 4 speed automatic transmissions shifts smoothly and flawlessly with no noises or clunks. I see close to 27 mpg on the freeway with it and average around 21 in the city. It is fully loaded with every option available, such as heated leather seats, power moonroof, dual zone climate control, remote start/keyless entry, Bose stereo with 6 disc CD changer and many others. The interior is in near perfect condition and looks great. The leather seats are very comfortable and are in great shape with no tears or marks. The back seats don't even look like they've been used.

The exterior of the car is in very good shape and the black paint looks gorgeous when waxed. There is a small dent near the rear tire that is barely noticeable that was caused from a shopping cart. There is no road rash on the wheels and they are as close to perfect that I've seen on an SS.

The power moonroof works as it should and does not leak. The car has new brakes all around as well as new Firestone Firehawk tires. The car is not modified in any way and is 100% stock. I added black overlays to the SS emblems to set them off a bit more, but that is all.

The car has a clean CarFax and has never been in a wreck. I'm the 2nd owner of it. The original owner was an older gentlemen in the Navy who bought the car in California where he lived. He then moved to Michigan for awhile, but then had it shipped to Hawaii for awhile before moving back to Michigan so it has only seen maybe 1 or 2 Michigan winters. The car has not been beat on and has been great to me, its just time for me to move on. There is no LIEN on the car and I do not have to sell it so please, no low ball offers.

If you're looking for a great family car that is sporty, yet very economical then this is it!!!

I'm asking $14,000 OBO

Here is the VIN for anyone wanting to run a CarFax: 2G1WD58CX69323974

Let me know what she says Woody. Its a great family car and pretty practical too. The trunk room and interior room is pretty spacious.

She likes it, but doesn't want to trade away her AWD for a car that's the same year & mileage with worse MPG. I think it's a nice upgrade, but she doesn't care about power. (Obviously - she drives a Sube.) That's a woman for ya! haha

Good luck man! I have the same car with just under double the miles on yours (hey what can I say, I LOVE driving it :D ), but I don't get that good of gas mileage no matter how well I behave. I'm selling mine to a dealer tomorrow for $6800 though.

Ouch, that is sure taking a hit on it. I hate dealerships, every one I've ever dealt with has someone screwed me over. I do a lot of highway driving so that's where the mileage comes in.

BerettaBase,

Nice looking ad! However, you are lacking your VIN number. Please provide that in the thread for any interested parties that may want to do their own research.

I just read this post again for the first time since I sold my '06 Impala SS last Thursday, and it's seriously bringing tears to my eyes. It feel's about like losing a beloved pet who's part of your family or something (it does to me anyway). :o I miss that car so much already; however, I really can't complain too much though. We had some great years and lots of good times together (races, tickets, fogged-up windows, 120+ mph runs on the interstate, etc). I was also fortunate enough to snag it for only $18K back in January of '07 when I was working at a Chevy dealership, and they were still going for $20K-$21K at dealer auctions.

Well in the dealer's defense, they've only been going for $6000-$6500 at dealer auctions, and mine needed some work (horrible chips and lacquer-checking on the hood, loose wheel bearings, leak from from the trans pan, a massive leak from the rack&pinion, etc.); all things considered $6,800 wasn't bad at all. I'm left feeling quite empty now, and getting myself a nice Beretta again is probably the only thing that'll fill the void. This has to be about the only place where someone might actually understand what I mean.

To anyone who thinks they might like a 2006+ Impala SS:
Let me tell ya, you will LOVE this car! And they really don't get any nicer than this one; you simply will not find any this nice with so few miles on them.

These cars can also make great little pickup trucks with rear the seats folded down (should the need for one arise).

Yea, there is quite a bit of room in the back with the seats down. I do love the spacious trunk too.
