Maybe new it would be quicker than say a 2.2 automatic beretta, but with almost 200k on it, no way!
I HATE those jetta 3's. They look like crap in my opinion. Those stupid lights in the front bumper are the worst part.
Someone near there should call them and tell em' you wanna race it with your beretta, and race for pink slips, then scrap that POS!

2.slow mkIII's would give a 2.8 beretta a run for its money but anything quicker and the vw is done.
Crappy performing motors but there also one of the most reliable/beater proof

That they are......... my wife had a 94 with the 2.0/auto and it was not a quick car by any means. it had enough power to move get out of it's own way, but that's about it.
They are comfortable though and suprisingly roomy. My wife keeps saying that she wants one again.
