Hey everybody finally got a job and ready to swap my motor for a new one, I was looking at it the other day and was wondering if it would be easier to just un-bolt the underbody thing that the motor sits on and then lift the front of the chassis up and roll it out? I've seen it done at the junkyard but was wondering if it was easier to go through the bottom than take everything off from the top to pull it up.
Somebody let me know sumthing so i can get started.
Thanx!

First off, change your font color.  It gives me headaches.

Second, I would not advice dropping the cradle just to change a motor.  It's ALOT more work than pulling a motor from the top.  And no alignment problems when done.

Are you just putting another stock motor in or swapping to 3400?  Or even a hybrid?

I've always dropped it out the bottom when I've done it.  I find it easier that way myself, many will disagree.  I prefer to take the engine and trans out as a unit.

Take a paint marker and mark aroudn the bolts and subframes, so you can align them back in teh right spot when done.

If you install the bolts in the right sequence it should go back in the same spot regardless.  The center holes aren't slotted.
