w41/w40 H\O Engine (Beretta GTZ) - PICTURES UP!!!!!!!!!

Hey guys, as you may know now I am in the process of starting a case against a mechanic who screwed up my timing chain after I paid him tons of money and then lied he about it.. claiming he checked the oil pump when he only looked at the timing chain case and was done with it (he knew damn well he didn't do the job right).. so, until I get the money, I wanna try to get some leads on a replacement engine (a lower mileage engine is preferred, but being picky won't get me far so offer whatever you have guys). In advance, I am taking any offers or leads so please don't be shy, I'm not going to be offended.

* high output models only plz*

I am looking for the following:

- w41 quad four engine (I like the extra HP and the cool red cover on top)
- w40 quad four engine (the stock motor for my 1990 GTZ)
- any other components I'd need for a swap (leads on a nice gasket set, maybe a newer staged clutch, etc)

I can trade a few of my own cool items (pics will come once I get these back to MA from NY, which my be this weekend):

- SOLD [full] Beretta Indy Chrome/Teal Wheel Set (very nice shape pics to come soon) + tires (decent shape 45-50% tread)
- Pending Sale [factory] Beretta Sunroof (off of 1990 Indy) w/rubber and handle stuff
- [full] teal Beretta Indy Seats (driver's side is a bit worn, overall quality fair), back seats are still in good shape for their age (pics of these will be up as soon as possible)
- SOLD Digital Dashboard (x2) hate to have these up for trade but the GTZ is my baby :)
- Fuel Pump (I believe a 1992+ Beretta stock pump)
- [full] Beretta Stock Steel Wheels + Tires (not worth much I know but tires are fair and they function 100%)
- teal Beretta Indy egg crate grille, some Beretta logos from outside of car, and many other parts I will categorize and add to the list as I sort through them.

** I know it doesn't seem like much, but I am not giving up on my car, and although I wanted to eventually have a beloved Beretta Indy (teal) in my possession again, the GTZ takes major priority over any future projects. Thanks for looking, I am trying (with what little time I have) to be a good standing member of this community and I will try harder to be more helpful and active on these forums as time progresses. I just started a new job and I am trying to run a small side business on top of wedding planning and such, so life is crazy. Thanks in advance for any help regarding finding these parts for me.. :)

it's not that hard, the issue is this forum is a very small market... You should put up an add on cragslist saying what you need as well.

For example...
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Reman-90-94-2-3 ... 893wt_1396

Not W41, but a start... Could ask them if it's a HO version or if they have a HO version in stock.

Swapping pistons and/or cam towers can be done quickly and easily with the engine out of the car if you can only find a good LO or even an SOHC motor can be converted to a W41 in a few hours... I swear i just saw a guy selling a brand new crate HO! let me find it!

I wish I had those parts, I'd be glad to trade, but sadly minus some power tools that's all I have plus cash most likely if one thing or another catches somebody's interest. I'm STUPID DUMB when it comes to working on quads and I definitely wanna keep it an H/O. I can really just rebuild my block??

yeah depending on the damages will determine what you need to do... You might need to have the crank turned and just use oversized bearings on the rods and mains and your done... Its not like you sent a rod through the block or bent valves or cracked the head.

why not just get a jyard motor and do that, good luck finding hg2 cams, not to many people have them and are willing to let them go.

Autozone doesn't have W-41 remans! LOL! You've got to be kidding me dude! And even if they did, why would a W-41 be $1,200 more than an H.O.? They are exactly the SAME engine except for cams that add 10 measly horsepower! Autozone goes through Surefire Engines for there remans btw, and they don't even have any older HO engine available to purchase currently! lol Recheck your info dude...

The last thing I would buy from Autozone is an entire engine... Those remans are slapped together so poorly. I highly doubt they re-balance the bottom end after replacing pistons and rods if necessary.
