Official Bfest 2006 Itinerary
Hello everyone,
Hope your winter is going as fast as it has been for all of us in the committee!  We've been busy getting everything put together to make Bfest 2006 as good as ever!  A few highlights before we get into the schedule...  As of last week we have tenatively secured a group tour at Extrude Hone.  This is exciting, because the facility they have near Pittsburgh is the one that machines intake manifolds for automotive applications!  I will be hashing out the details with them over the next week or so, so there may be some changes in the itinerary that I will update you on.  For the go-karting on thursday night we have found a good facility that offers a group discount!  We will be contacting them and figuring out how payment is secured, etc.  Once that is found out, we will get a tally of how many people will be interested and secure our group discount!  The other thing is that we have secured a large pavilion with ample parking to bring back the 2nd Annual Berettafest Car Show!!  I'm sure many of you are already finding ways to give your car the edge in the voting, and I'm excited to have the Show again this year.  Please keep in mind that this is, at this point, a tenative schedule.  All times and event locations are subject to change.  If so, we will keep the group informed of any changes that may occur.  So without further ado.....

Ok. Finally an itinerary but some questions and comments.
Why Quaker City Raceway and not Pittsburgh Raceway Park?
Why isnt group photo being taken at Moraine?
Where at in Mt Washington is car photo going to happen?
How much of the Extrude Hone is going to be open for tour?
I am also very excited that Extrune Hone was chosen as the group tour and not another beer place. I knew not many people seemed enthused about Extrude Hone.
Thursday there will be Autoxing at BeaveRun Sprots Complex. It is a very loose place to Auto Cross at and all they ask is for money and that you wear a helmet. Racing I believe is $15 and spectators $5. Im saying this for the people that show no interest in Go Karting. Directions from a hotel in Robinson are quite easy and ~40 minutes away.

Autocrossing on a Thursday? Weird, usually its Saturday or Sunday.

Its Thursday at Beaverun or Sunday at North Park.
North Park is a SCCA event though and all that registering and numbering and whatnot would have to happen. Beaverun is more loose and easy to just go and have fun.

Here are some answers to those questions... As far as the choice of track, it is because that Pittsburgh Raceway Park is having a Pro-Am event throughout the entire weekend, with an exlusive TnT for them on friday night. The regular TnT is moved to wednesday for that week. If you like, check out their schedule at www.pittsburghracewaypark.com I am impartial of where the group photo is, but I just thought Mt. Washington looked like a great spot to get all the cars at. The photo is kind of dependant upon if there even is a good spot for all of us at Mt. Washington, and time/weather. There is a good possibility that the pic will just be taken at Moraine anyway... I will get the details of the Extrude Hone tour out as I get them. I will be getting in touch with them later this week to hash out more details. Thanks for asking!

(roughly) I think I will have it up by next week sometime. We are moving servers and possibly domain names, and have been having technical difficulties on top of the usual busyness that comes this time of year! Don't worry, we will keep everyone up to date as far as registration.
