diy dew strips?
anyone ever tried to make there own dew strips or have any ideas on how to. i saw a pair of home made on a fiero forum and was thinking it might be a worth while project
Re: diy dew strips?
I seem to recall a site posted a while back that had different dew wipes for different types of applications. I have yet to pull a set and see if they have something I can use to "rebuild" a set. If I find the link, I will post it up. Someone else may have it as well.

Before this thread goes anywhere else, remove a set of Beretta dew strips, look at them, go to said website, say, "oh..." and then give up.

I'm not so sure. I remember looking, but due to the fact I had little time, I didn't look hard enough. I think there was an option that would work.

I was about to say SCD already determined this to be impossible... Maybe someone can figure something out though.

Indeed, with what's available from that website anyway. If somebody wants to put time and effort into sourcing another option, I wish you the best of luck!3X00-Modified wrote:I was about to say SCD already determined this to be impossible... Maybe someone can figure something out though.
PS: Find somebody to make shifter cables while you're at it!

I thought Dickman was working on shift cables.
The group buy deal on the dew strips has been explored.

Re: diy dew strips?
if i didn't have perfect dew strips on my new project beeretta, i would be scrounging the junkyard for all dewstrips off of any car that has a similar length door... and making something work... i can't see it being that much of a pain. (much more of a pain than replacing with stock anyhow...)
