89' 2.8 Won't Start, No Power
And when it clicks and I have power again, its FULL power - bright lights, dash lights, etc. Not like a drained battery at all. I've got the Haynes and I know where to cross my screwdrivers, but I think I'll grab some rubber gloves too, just in case, lol.

89' 2.8 Won't Start, No Power
Nah, can't be the battery because after I try to start it and everything goes dead (not slowly draining-ly dead, all of a sudden dead with a click), I wait a couple minutes, i hear another click, and then I've got dome light, power locks, etc. Then I try the ignition again, and with a click everyth...

89' 2.8 Won't Start, No Power
Hey, thanks for replying. I had come across your entry on the message board here and my problem is a little different. Yours sounds like the starter. I'm going to go outside later with a couple screwdrivers and see if I can crawl under and jump it at the solenoid. If it doesn't start that way, I'll ...

89' 2.8 Won't Start, No Power
Automatic, 192,000 miles but new engine has 33,000. Since putting in new engine in Jan. 07, car runs great - like new, no problems whatsoever. I come home for one minute, I go back outside and now it won't start. No dome light, no power to door locks, no click when I turn key - completely dead. Afte...

'89 A/C (Converted already) Recharge
Ok, so when my sister owned the car before me, she had it converted to r134a. I bought a couple cans and the hose and now I can't find where to refill it. I was told that maybe it's accessible from underneath the car. Also, how would I know which is the high pressure side or the low pressure side? P...

Blinker Problem
Dude, my '89 was doin the same exact thing, and then just stopped. I checked my bulbs and switched em around and still no change. I finally put a brand new bulb in and it turned out that the bulbs just weren't "seating" right in the socket. Might have been where the wires go in also, but I...

2.8 wont idle and oil pressure low
Yep, sounds like the TCC to me. My '89 2.8 GT was doing the same thing - starting just fine then dying when I put it in gear. Unplugged the TCC and its fine now, just runs a little richer.

ok, i found the cable and the reset tab but theres nothing here that slides. this doesnt look like the diagram you posted or the one in the haynes manual. also, when i pull on the throttle cable and let go, sounds like theres something loose down there.
