CORBRETTA is born!
Norm could you enlighten me?
Where in the hell is the Flywheel, clutch, and pressure plate?
Is it in the rear end with the tranny?
With the trans in the rear end, im totally confizzled about the drivetrain layout.

It is all off of the engine as normal. When it comes apart I'll be sure to take many pics.

You scared me for a second I thought you had it in and fired up already!!
Looks like you got some rust from the water leak spots I had the same stuff. Be sure to seal up that outer firewall really good before you get too much stuff under the hood. Don't want water in your "new" car!
Hows the length look so far? Wheels going to fit or will some of the driveshaft & tunnel need shortening?
Hard to tell by the pic, but is the engine going to stick through the firewall some?

Yup, I cut the leaking areas out. Just poor seam sealing from the factory. No cutting on the donor, more adjusting the FWD layout more palatable to RWD.

That means that the wheel wells and fenders are in about the right spot for the wheels of the stock C5 wheelbase then....... right?

When you do a conversion like this nothing is plug-n-play. The data says that the wheel base is about an inch off between the cars.

Well since you wont shorten the driveshaft/torque tube, does that mean you're going to lengthen the front feders?!?! But seriously 1" isn't THAT drastic of a miss-match, and probably can be worked out by just "tubbing" the wheel wells.... (or having the extra length in the back, where the wheels don't turn for steering..)
Is the motor going to be partially in the cabin, (like an F body) or will it reside mostly in the engine compartment?

Try sticking hand near the rocker panels on each side of the tire on the Beretta and you see there is plenty of room.
Just like the C5, I guess F-car but I haven't seen one recently, it will reside underneath the windshield/cowl. The reson being is better weight distribution.
Now where to put those gas tanks?
