Committee Opening- Treasurer
The times are a changin' as they say, and this year we will be saying goodbye to a very trustworthy and helpful person on the committee. Brian Witt has decided to step down from the treasurer position on the committee. This position is a permanent position and would continue year after year until that person retires from the committee. I have decided to open this position to the general Bfest public in search of a trustworthy candidate.
If you are interested in the position, you MUST do these two things- reply to this message (list or MB)naming yourself as a cadidate, and PM or email me PRIVATELY listing your qualifications and why you think you would like the job. I will consider each cadidate on a case by case basis. Once I am done interviewing candidates, I will choose one person and announce our new treasurer.
Job Requirements include but are not limited to:
-Overseeing the BerettaFest money account. This account takes in a LOT of money for registration every year, and has a balance that rolls over from one year to the next. At the end of the year the treasurer must give the committee a statement of the account, and MUST be able to produce sufficient records to any and all trasactions.
-Distribute cash to myself and other committee members in order to purchase such things like the trophies, banner, picnic food, t-shirts, park reservations, etc.
-Coordinate with the registrar before, during, and after the open and close of registration to ensure smooth operation or Bfest registration.
-Assist in general Bfest planning activities, and assisting at Bfest itself.
ALL CANDIDATES MUST:
-be at LEAST a 3 year veteran of past BerettaFests
-have attended 2 of the last 3 BerettaFests, with intentions of attending in '07 and beyond
-have a stable income and steady address... in the event that something goes wrong we must be able to get ahold of you IMMEDIATELY
It is preffered, but not necessary to:
-be in the banking field or have had past experience with banking
-be within a one state perimeter of me (WI), this includes MI, IL, IA, MN
This job opening begins today (7/2) and will run until Monday 7/10. Any applications recieved after the 10th will be disregarded, so punctuality is a key. I will announce my decision by the end of next week, 7/14.

I'd like to toss my name in for this actually, but I'm moving in a few months, and starting a not very fincancially stable situation (back to college, unemployed, livin on loans).  I'll be at the next few Bfests though, no doubt about that.  As much as it sucked not going this year, even if I didn't miss the best Berettafest ever, I realized I don't want to miss anymore. ÂÂÂ
I'll co-nominate Craig if you we're still doing that 2nd the nomination thing though. ÂÂÂ

After much deliberation and discussing with the other current committee members, I have decided who our next Treasurer will the for the BerettaFest Committee.  Please help me welcome Chad Loniello as our next BerettaFest Committee Treasurer!  Chad is very well qualified, having worked in the banking industry for over 8 years.  Chad has always been very helpful in the past, helping out even when not needed. We all also know that dedication is no problem for Chad either, he drove 2450 mi one way to Bfest this year! Whether Chad stays in CA or moves back to WI like he wants I know that he will be a valuable asset for many Bfests to come.ÂÂÂ
Thanks to all you guys who went out for this job.  I seriously recommend you to run for one of the three general committee member positions, which I will be opening early next week. ÂÂÂ
Congrats again to Chad!
