Looking really good. Clean clean work. Will be a strong engine for sure.

Side note, what price, if any will YOU put on that engine once it is fully assembled? Or let's say you build a second one and I drive to pick it up. Just curious, something I've been wanting to ask you seeing your previous builds.

PM me if you like.

Ok well to sum up the work money in this engine, not including my time of course.

Base Engine, $280
Cometic Head Gaskets 218.49
Piston Coatings, $204.19
Main/Rod Bearings and Rings GM, $349.77
Cam Bearings (SBC 350 Teflon) $58.81
Misc Gaskets, $21.50
Crank Trigger Internal, $95.00
Machine Work, $1464.00
Cam, Springs Pushrods, main studs, misc $880.90
Time-sert Thread repair kit for rocker threads $123.51
Stainles Steel Valves $158.40

Machine work included
Separation of Piston/rod to send out for coating
Re-assembly of piston/rod
Full bottom end balancing, including Harmonic dampener and Flexplate
Block Hone, Line bore check, square deck to mains/deck .003"
Heads shaved to get combustion chamber to 30cc's
3 angle Racing Valve job
Cut spring pockets for 1.76 spring Install height
Pressure Check
Install Time-sert inserts for all rocker threads

So in parts and machine labor alone your looking at $3854.57 so far... Head studs were purchased in 2010 so thats not on the list, As well as the DRTC and a few other things done to the heads prior to this run through. Obviously if you don't want the cam and such you can subtract that stuff off but that gives you a general idea of what's invested in this engine so far. I also had the headers re-coated because I had to re-weld a crack on one and wasn't happy with how the coating faded. And then lets not forget I replaced my LSD and also upgraded that to a 4t60e-HD setup which was another $750. This is why the Indy is ONLY getting an AC re-freshen in the spring... LOL

Oh and I haven't spent a dime on the nitrous yet... Still debating on getting that installed. I may say F-it and just stick with the TB jet right now till I get the tuning all sorted out, possibly get the direct port on sometime after Bfest.

Suffice to say it is a $5000+ engine if you have a serviceable core.

Add a grand (or two) for the trans and you are getting close.

Still wanna play in the Big Leagues?

1. How much did that run?
2. Can I get one for my 88 5spd?
3. From who did you get it?

It's Engineered Performance http://www.engineered.net

Figure $700+ in CDN money with shipping and such.

Yours will be the one on the right because a 60e-HD diff is not an option on your trans. But yes he can make you an LSD, they are $599 new without a core diff to send him meaning you get all new parts sent to you.

Jon you ARE the Big Leagues! I was there, set 13.47 as the N/A number to beat, (and no one will in the near future) but now I just tool around in about one of the the nicest Quads on the planet, on the 3 or 4 days a year I drive it, ROFL!!!

What really is "the big leagues"? Maybe it just requires spending entirely too much money (way more than I ever will) on your car, I thought having a unique build would be the ticket guess not lol.

Anyways, car is looking good Jon. Should be an entirely different beast with the full 3500.

Not sure if the full 3500 will be the difference maker... I think that will all come from the increased compression and new cam profile, if I wanted to buy pistons I probably could have obtained the same CR with the hybrid setup and I'm not sure what or if there are any gains to running the rest of the 3500 parts.

And I'm sure what Eric is referring to when it comes to the "Big Leagues" is high power makers.

looking good as always Jon, I hope this 60hd diff works out well because ill be the next one to use one on my setup

And will the increased compression/ displacement/ larger cam have you using 93 octane daily?
Or will you just tune the timing down and sacrifice a few hp to daily 87 again?
