Beretta Z28
Re: Beretta Z28
Tacked on the upper spring centers on the mount and mocked up the springs and shocks for the first time!!!!! Got to make some minor location adjustments but its getting there
Re: Beretta Z28
Installed the bronze pilot bushing, new flywheel, and zoom HP Kevlar clutch, and pressure plate. Also cut the hole for the 6 speed shifter and mocked up the shifter boot.

Re: Beretta Z28
Looking good - you going to go with a fuel cell tied into where the Beretta gas door is?

Re: Beretta Z28
I would shave the fuel door and put the fill in the trunk. Keep it nice and clean.

You could cut up the Beretta bumper and put something behind the license plate!

Re: Beretta Z28
Fuel cell would have to be way too low to get filled from that point...

Re: Beretta Z28
Modify the filler panels to flip down on a hinge.

Re: Beretta Z28
Or go the DeLorean route and put a 'gas door flap' into the trunk-lid. That would be pretty cool...

Re: Beretta Z28
I dunno...there's already a "gas door flap" on the trunk hinges if he goes that route. Why overcomplicate? haha

Seriously -have you even LOOKED at the cars I build?? "Overcomplicated" is where the fun starts!woody90gtz wrote:I dunno...there's already a "gas door flap" on the trunk hinges if he goes that route. Why overcomplicate? haha

When you are starting from square one, it is easy to over-think and over-extend, then never see the thing finished. Obviously, that is not likely the case here though, so I say design it how you want it ending up -and having to pop the trunk just to top-off the tank is a little more trouble than it needs to be IMO. But, you know what works for you -so do that, because it is working!

Re: Beretta Z28
yeah...... if/when i get to the point where im worrying about how to fill up the gas i will be in pretty good shape......i would love to shave the filler door to get the clean flush look but im attempting to not have to repaint the exterior of this car.....
Re: Beretta Z28
Welded all upper suspension mounts on the the rear sub frame. And final mocked up the springs and shocks..
Re: Beretta Z28
Welded the drive shaft/trans tunnel notch on the crossmember and cut out and boxed in the lower
Re: Beretta Z28
Cut the main body rails and starting to mock up the rear sub to the rails with the actual Beretta wheelbase.
