3400 head swap question
My brother is in the middle of swapping his 3.4 OHV heads for 3400 heads. The stock pushrods are to short and the 3400 pushrods are definitely too short. Anybody know what pushrods can be used. My brother is searching camaro v6 forums and people keep saying the stock ones are fine to use. But pushrods shouldn't be able to pulled away from the rocker when tightened down, if I'm correct. The stock ones will lift be tight as long as the cam is lifting them. I'm hoping somebody knows something. Thanks.

If you have hydraulic lifters make sure they are full of oil and you aren't compressing it out. Otherwise if you can't find ones the right length you can buy trim your own pushrods and figure out the length with a scrap pushrod and a screw and nut in the end to adjust length.

Thanks for help but we scrapped the project anyway. The intake won't fit correctly.
