2001 2.4TC high tq mini starter
I just got my starter from schram today, installed it and it works great. much smaller compared to the 2.3's starter... probably the only thing worth swapping from a 2.4 onto a 2.3
Sounds a lot better then the old starter too... I recommend it to any quad owner who is having some starter issues.
GM part number is 12571039 believe...

I put one on my old Garnet Z a loong time ago. It's a big improvement old the old style. I've got one sitting here to go on the '92 as soon as I get around to it.

Haha I know I know. I wasn't going to do this unless my stock starter went out on me... which it did.
Sounds a lot like a honda cranking over for a good comparison.
The part number is correct also for anyone who is interested in one. I suggest looking at Schram on ebay. they seem to have quite a few up for auction.

Does the starter have to ordered or is it the 2.4 starter itself?

Ok, I pulled one off a Sunfire 2.4 but I didn't check what year it was. Does anyone possibly have any pics or dimensions or the starter?
