Yes i can see that but what in the name of some kind of god(religous disclaimer) makes you think i did it in an inhabited area?  i didn't even have a passenger and i was out in the middle of freakin nowhere(which in wisconsin is a lot of places) the most i could've killed was myself and a deer, possibly a bunny if i hit the right spot in my firey maelstrom charge into empty cornfields.  You have insulted me by merely suggesting that i would be stupid enough to do that in the first place.  Also, I'm offended by you're condesending tone towards "17 year old kids."  The simple mentioning of that persons age was enough to reveal you're bigotry of teenagers.  Being only one year older i can safely say that it would be a gross error in judgement not to realize that although there are many stupid teenagers i'm sure, there is also a very large number of responsible ones.  You did not know my age and i remind you there are others here who could be offended by speech like that.  Also I know of these mechanical limiters of which you speak and it is entirely possible to raise these limiters by adding support, stronger parts, better tires, etc, etc, to easily achieve 130+ mph. small potholes and pin sized leaks be damned. Hell, you pay for the tires and rims and i'll run over spikestrips for you.
edit: was missing an e in firey;and again for a few more mistakes

Yes, this should have been locked a long time ago when it was clear that it was promoting a blatant illegal action.
As for the response up front, Can you read? Do you know how? "Also, I'm offended by you're condesending tone towards "17 year old kids."" Re-read what I wrote. I never said anything about 17 year olds in general; I made a statement and included the age of the person who killed someone else due to excessive speed. What is very funny to me that you state that you are "one year older" and continue with the word "responsible" which clearly you are not by doing what you can in order to perform an illegal activity. I also live in Wisconsin; there is not one foot of road in the entire state that has a speed limit of 130 mph.
"You have insulted me by merely suggesting that i would be stupid enough to do that in the first place." stupid enough to do this in the first place?? Ummmm let me look again.. YES!!! YOU ALREADY DID THIS! You’re attempting speeds beyond the limits of the vehicle!
"inhabited area?" It does not matter if you think there is no one around or not, you can not always tell what is around, you think that you see every vehicle on the streets as you drive? I bet that everyone you see on the side of the road pulled over by the police was sure that there was no one around! Pay for your tires, umm no, so you can do things that take less sense? Though, I would gladly pay money if there was a way to have your license revoked for the mere admission of over twice the legal limit.

I'm not so much for never doing 130+, but more for proper driver education. Those speeds CAN be done safely on an open highway with little to no traffic. Of course part of the education needed is knowing the mechanical limits of your vehicle, knowing how to keep it properly maintained, and how to approach any light traffic or other obstacles.
Being on the track really opened my eyeballs.

Of course part of the education needed is knowing the mechanical limits of your vehicle, knowing how to keep it properly maintained, and how to approach any light traffic or other obstacles.  All of which were done as one it is WELL mainaned with all required speed raising parts, two the road i was using was sort of an old country highway strech in a perfectly flat area with early spring cornfields adding up to a paved road with eh about a 4 mile visibility Plenty of enough space to slow down EVEN if my brakes went, three a crossroads(if you can call then that) maybe every 1.5 miles.
QUOTE"inhabited area?"  It does not matter if you think there is no one around or not, you can not always tell what is around, you think that you see every vehicle on the streets as you drive?  I bet that everyone you see on the side of the road pulled over by the police was sure that there was no one around! i don't think it was uninhabited i KNOW it was uninhabited, and as for the police my friend and i did some work for him on his drag car and he wouldn't care past giving me a warning.  Oh and there is not a limit sign on it anymore because no one cares enough to put new ones up when the old one's rust up and are knocked over.  Risky yes stupid no.

Yes it is a little offending and 2.(tangent) several of them who are in my intro to law class and are minors raise the question of why even though they can be wholly punished as adults for their decisions (sent to prison for life), they still cannot legally(because you love the law) have the rights(voting, smoking, financial, and life freedoms) that are based on that same decision making ability.  I can be punished like you but i apparently i don't know enough to choose right like you? Now if you didn't mean what you said than i will forget it.  I think that is as plain as i can make how i feel sound.  I reread everything i write and if someone is offended by something i write then instead of calling them illiterate i explain what i meant(referance the above analogy)  I feel i must apologize though for when i wrote my rebutall before i was, well for obcenities sake "upset" when i wrote it.

Im sorry to say but I agree with Jeff. This topic is completely off topic and unless you have something to say about how to remove the top speed limiter please keep it to PM's.

Ok, so I know know we dont know how to remove the limiter but what is the farthest you can push the limiter back using one of those DHP things?

well before all the arguements started i said you can just switch the vss wires. but since you mention the dhp tuner i'm guessing your runninng obd 2 in that case i believe it's around 255 mph.this would be for chip and flash tunning. If you're running a '93 back 60degreev6 actualy can make you a performance chip with the limiter knocked back for around $130

255mph??
A beretta is incapable of hitting anything near that speed.

Yes you can raise the limiter on all Berettas to 255. It's an 8-bit location in the ECM.
