Nitrous in a Beretta?
Hi guys I was watching F&F over the last weekend and was wondering how to make a beretta even faster and the idea popped in my head. Would it work or would it blow. Also what can you do to make a 3.1L reach up in the 8,000 RPM range?

you would need a bullet proof bottom end and some really good rods to hold the power being created by nitrous you are better off not doing so but if you have the money go for it i guess

8 would be REALLY hard because you begin to lose power from valve float in the hydrolic lifters. You would want to convert to solid (referance the money comment)meaning new cams rods lifters rockers studs. I suggest that if you wan't a fast and the furious car go out and buy yourself one of the millions of those damn civics, buy some parts for it bolt them on and blend in. I would try to work with the beretta instead go for torque, and midrange where the 60 degree kills.then throw in a manual for more gears so you can use that power if you want high rpm's get a QUAD
foot in the floor mpg about 8

Hey thanks for the replys. I was just curious but I'll probably never add nitrous. I am thinking about a quad when my 3.1 goes. Also Many of the Berettas around me look beat up and are stockers, I just would like to see the looks on the Civic punk's faces when they get blown off by a "slow" Beretta LOL!!!! Thanks Guys

8,000 on a 3.1 is not very feasable, nor even financially realistic.
And putting a Quad in that car is way more complicated than you may be aware.
A 3400 or 3500 swap would be the smarter route.
They can handle a 50 shot of nitrous without too much drama.
My 3500 automatic is already well into the 14's and it's 100% dead stock.
