i have a 1990 gt, and lucky me the engine siezed, now ive been told that the 1990 has a very specific engine mount for that one year, is there any way that i can slap in say a 91-96 3.1l into it, can the engine mounts be interchanged? or am i gunna have to custom some new mounts on to the body?

you can use your current mounts, just swap them over.  You can only use a 2.8L or a 3.1L with your current mounts though, a 3100 or 3400 will need to have a front mount fabricated.
