Picked up a red 1990 Plymouth Laser RS Turbo w/5 speed manual. Only paid $500 for it and the guy wanted $800. The only things wrong with it are 3 hubcaps missing, the clearcoat is peeled in a few spots and 5th gear hasn't worked in like 10 years he says. I asked how long he's owned it and he goes "Oh didn't I tell you ? I've owned this car since it was brand new." I was like "Oh wow!" One owner cars ftw!! Really nice guy, took GREAT care of the car. Under the dash pad, the dash is absolutely perfect, no cracks , sunfading, nothing! The carpet and seats are the same, like new. Glass and body panels are perfect as well. NO dents, dings or scrapes that I've found so far! Perfect car. Turbo spools up and runs out nicely. I'm thinking the 5th gear thing may be a sycnhro, dunno, haven't driven it fast enough to hit 5th gear yet. Only drove it around his neighborhood before hooking it up to the dolly and towing her home. Anyhoooo... check it out. The pics are kinda dark, I'll take new ones tomorrow in the daylight after I get back from El Paso,TX and picking up Gilbert's GT.

***EDIT*** New pics!

Is the drivers side door handle white? Did the seats in the background come with it?

Yup, drivers door handle is white ,but not painted replace it looks like and well done because the door panel is tight and the handle is not loose either. The seats in the background are the remainder of what I have to put in the Achieva. I got a whole new interior for it except for dash and console out of a '96 Achieva at the jy. It's in really nice shape, just had to clean up the seats and wipe down the trim of dirt and dust. Didn't come with the Laser.
Let me know what you guys think of the updated pics from daytime. Was gonna post these last night, but after a week of running around the country and 36 hours straight up I crashed hard, lol. Picked up Gilberts car yesterday morning and brought it home. It's the grey 'Retta.

Man, that turbo is hard to see! Does it say something else under "turbo" on the drivers side(thought I saw something there in the dark photos)? When you get the Beretta done you are going to get alot of looks. How many miles on the Laser? Strange that they had the hood set up like that when the turbo is so low. That just tells everybody that it's not a punk I guess. Are you going to build it, or just keep it the way it is? With both cars the cops are going to be watching.

Yea, that Beretta is an '89 GT I just bought from Gordo2Dope on the Bstuff forums. Went to El Paso late night before last to get it. Just got it home yesterday. Motor has a fresh rebuild on it with 2000 miles, drivetrain in great shape. All custom body work done by Gordo, mostly finished. I've got some passenger side fender work and bottom rear filler work to do. Then slap an interior in her along with a paint job and some 18 inch rims with new rubber. It has two tail lights like the one you see (GENUINE Mercedes tail lights!) in brand new shape and two sets of Angel Eye Halo headlights in brand new shape as well. The tail lights and headlights are both in my house now, just wanted to see how they would look, so put on in place. Thinking I'll paint the car Ivory White or Pearl White (as the interior will be maroon) and 5% tint the windows, maybe a blue Street Glow underneath neon kit.
What do you think? Should I go Jet Black or Garnett instead of White?

***EDIT***
I forgot to mention, the motor is a 3.1L with a 2.8L upper plenum on it ,lol! Can you say sleeper? Oh, and it's actually quite powerful , surprisingly. Squealed the tires real easy on my pavement. Got a real nice CAI and Underdrive pulley on it too.

Yea, sorry Money. I'll try to get a better pic of the Turbo tomorrow during the day. I took not so good ones again, but hey they were daylight ones this time!
Here's two pics of the lettering and of course the friggin' flash blinded out half the letters, lol. But the ones in front of the door say "Turbo" and below that it says "Intercooler". The ones behind and above the door say "Twin Cam" and below that "16 Valve".
Believe it or not, the car has 243,000 miles on it! Been well taken care of. Turbo just rebuilt, head and head gasket just done along with a new timing belt and new struts front and rear. Tires almost new. One owner! And you can see how clean the interior is! Like new!
Yea, the bubble is just show to let you know, lol. The Beretta should be done within a month or so hopefully. Will post pics as I go. Def a cop eye catcher and already have them eyeing me with the Laser, lol. I been screwing off a bit though, lol! Of course it's a Red 2 door car with a Turbo and 16 inch wheels which doesn't help!

Yea, Gilbert aka Gordo is a cool guy too man. Gave me an assload of extra parts. New dash or newly redone anyhow, like 2 or 3 upper plenums, extra shifter, some shift cables, wiring harnesses, and a whole bunch of other stuff! I got Beretta parts coming outta my azz! Oh, and he has a bunch of interior trim and a pair of door panels I didn't grab up from him though he offered it. It's in great shape, one of you guys needs to hit him up for it man! Otherwise he's gonna toss it. I just didn't need it as I already have an interior to put in the car.

Ok. So thus far, I have put new Bosch Copper plugs in her, a fresh oil change with Castrol GTX 10W-40 and a Fram Extra Guard filter (almost summer here), a new Fuel Filter, had the front tires balanced (got rid of a slight shimmy) and I have a brand new water pump, timing belt and balance shaft belt ,tensioners ,etc on the way in a complete kit with gaskets and all off of Ebay (only $100 +$10 shipping!). Kind of a just in case thing! Air filter is a K&N so no need to replace, just wash. Looking at a Stage 3 racing clutch and a rebuilt tranny off of Ebay just for shits and giggles. Thinking of going to the 16G Turbo too. Any thoughts?

Damn, that's a nice looking DSM.  Looks to be in really great shape.  Especially the interior.  It's always nice to find a one-owner car.  I do wonder why he hadn't bothered to get the 5th gear fixed.  Other than that, though, it seems to be well-maintained.

And very cool that you bought Gordo's Beretta.  That's a nice customized Beretta and I'm usually not a fan of highly modified Berettas.  I think it's so awesome that he did all of the work himself.  Very cool.  I didn't even know he was selling it. Can't wait to see it get finished! ÂÂÂ
