Ooooh. If iirc there's a good write up on Bstuff on how to do the swap or at least a couple guys who detailed theirs as they did it. Ummm..... I think it was Fastlane and ROLNGTZ.... I know Fastlane is on these boards, dunno about ROLN. GL!

Well if you already have the engine then good luck, but I know of two people who have done that swap, and BOTH say they would not recommend it, and would never do it again with the availablility of 3400's and 3500's at very reasonable prices.

95 would be the series one still engine(I believe). you might beable to use your origanal wirring and computer. you would have to still build motor mounts but other than that you might get away with it without ripping into the wirring. you will also have to reprogram the computer.

You know if its a seriesII or I i can't remember what year the switch thought it was late 96

Perhaps you should consider using Megasquirt instead of trying to use the old computer, same\or less job and better results.
I fill up for $130. Also Beretta owner since 2004

I screwed around with the wiring harness issue for months. Kept having voltage issues and blown fuses. I finally went with a stand alone management unit made by Simple Digital Systems. Solved my problems with programming and the computer and tuning. The unit ran for $1600 at the time. Went through a sponsor and got it for $900.

Look up Nukkin Futz on the Quad4forums.com  He can help you out with a stand alone fuel management system.

he shouldn't need that he just needs to reflash the computer. he might beable to use his wirring harness for this project. hes using a series1 3800sc. If he has a 3.1 or 3100 he proable can use his harness and computer. And depending on the mount setup on a series I is about the only thing he will need to figure out.
You also have a bigger after market to since alot of parts on your motor will be the same as the grand national motors.

well actually everything will but the block i belive dont quate me on this.

Don't use that engine, seriously.  A stock 3500 makes almost the exact same amount of power, weighs less, and will be 15 times less work.

I bought a 3500 for $500.  So for under $1000 total you should easily be able to get the same amount of power in the car in a weekend if you do your research first.

Put that 3800 on craigslist right now and start looking for a 3500.
