Duel Exhust?

Post by Da-Funk »

hi I was just wondering if you could put a duel exhaust on a 4 cylinder engine mainly a quad 4 .not just the outlets but true duels this is how i think you could do it.
cut the manifold and weld two pipes in two different directions??? like u know where the manifold joins all 4 together just cut if off there and weld two pipes giong away from each other then "duel" it up if that makes any sense???
could some one get back to me on this one and don't lock this topic please

You could probably do that, but I don't see the benefit of doing so.

You'll gain weight from having more pipe and an extra muffler.

I doubt there would be any sort of a performance gain.

Not to mention the car would sound weird...

Do not start anymore topics about dual exhaust... you have started 3 in the past week asking the same question.

there would be barly a gain if any but you would compansate it with the extra weight you put into the car. it probably sound like a 2cyl 4 stroke dirt bike.
not worth it buy anymeans even if you pushing 500hp.
