I had the opportunity to speak with TMP Race Director Neil Armstrong on the weekend regarding the "battery in the trunk" issue.
Here's the scoop.
As long as the battery is secure and cannot be moved, and the rear seat, or "other bulkhead material" is in place, the cars will be allowed to run, AND and external shut-off is not required.
