OK guys, need some help

So bstuff seems to be gay so anyway on my way home, i got a SES light. I though F**K why? Why now? so i took my dumb ares friend home and backtracked all the way (like 10 miles) to autozone and checked my codes. I probably should have gotten the EXACT code but he said it is O2 sensor bank 2 which means its my o2 sensor after my cat. So i just took off my resonator and put in some pipe. What all do you think is going on? could my cat be bad? or is it my sensor? if cat, is it because i beat the **** out of the pipe to get the new section on to the exhaust? Thats my worst case scenario guess that i think i fugged up bad. talk to me guys, i need quick answers and soon. Thanks !!!

The sensor could have went bad for many reason.  Age, wiring, oil soaked, gobs of carbon build up.  Replace it with a NON Bosch unit and make sure it has a good warranty.  If it fails prematurely soon after replacement, then investigate the situation further.

Do you have I/M in your area?  If so, then I would just buy the o2.
