Does look good but AWFUL tight. What about the heat? Any concerns of it melting anything or such? These should bolt onto my '90 3.1 right? How much for a set Keith? Thanks.

3x00 headers

SuzukiGhostRider: actually this was my 3rd diff front header i have made. the first two where closer to stuff that i didn't like and thought in the long run it would cuase problems. The first to was build so you could use the stock fan. but i thought long and hard about changing fans and going to a slim fan becuase of the fact you can move the fan. you can move sensors or vaccum lines or wires. and that how the third set got built and i like it. Also since i built it to use a after market fan now, it will clear for the 2.8 and 3.1s' becuase of the coil packs. Its still pretty close to the coils but once they are back from the tube shop i'm going to build a heat sheild for extra security. I dont want to and do like to release something that people are going to buy then when they put them on come back to me complaining about this and that. I want to have 100% feeback and everything go smooth and look and perform good.

forgot to mention the fabrication is done and the headers were sent to the tube shop. but since this guy shop is so bissy he will not beable to get to them for 2 weeks
I couldn't take any pics becuase i lost my phone for a couple day and didn't find it till after i sent them to the tube shop.

I'm lost. Do the headers have the D-port? So, they will clear the fan? Locking bolts? In the old V8 days you had to check them every few weeks(that would be a pain on these cars).Wish that I could remember who made them. Let me just say that I'm glad that you are here and making all this for Beretta's!

Fastlane02,

I saw on an earlier post on the thread that you could use a different flange and that these would work on a 2.8L.  Do you think these would fit on a 1987 Cavalier Z24, with a 5 speed?

Or you can be crazy like me and pay $110 for ARP Stainless Header studs.

And all but three of them you will never see again, LOL

I used stainless cap screws... lol...

I couldnt find ARP studs for the metric... but studs are a pain since the clearance is tight.

edit:
I just found them... I wish they made stainless in the head studs too... damn hardcoated crap rusts easily.

they have the d ports in them and everything else 3400 said is correct.

87 cavy. I'm sure these fit the second gen. I thought they switched to 2nd gen in 89 I will have to grab a 87 and test fit to make sure.

fastlane02,

That would be great. I'd bring ya mine, but it looks to be a bit of a haul. 5.5 hrs. estimated. I'd have to trailer it down.

The routing around the back side is a little different, also around where the downpipe goes is a little different too.. I know that one from personal experience.

Ok, thanks. I'll be looking for a set when you hit the final stage. I would like to keep my fan, but could work around it if I have to.

I still want a set of flanges, unless you want to re-make my headers in stainless (they're 16 years old!)
