GTZ project updates
If you want to use stock wheels, the maximum brake size would be 12" ish and 2 piston caliper.
I only have minimal progress in the car since last post, shop i ordered the rear discs from is acting rediclious and can't seem to be able to deliver my order, so i may have to go another way with that.
I'l be getting the rear brake hoses from braided stainless steel soon, and i'l compeletely do a new style ebrake cabling too, just to make it simpler and maybe more affective.
I also got my Moates APU-1 and stuff so i can datalog\tune my engine in realtime, only bad thing is lack of complete .XDF file for Quad, so i may have to buy that Tunercat program.

Dont get discouraged. Keep at it.
Trust me, I know how difficult it can be to see the light at the end of the tunnel on a project of this size. Just take one thing at a time and the baby steps will pay off in a big way!
Lookin good so far!
Im also interested in that exhaust mount. Make me one too! PLEEEEASE!

New seat belts finally. 3" shoulder belts, 2" lap belts, easy go\in out, and has a reel for shoulder belts (locks at 0.5G), so i can still reach the radio\ac-controls\glove compartment\passenger...
Fancy new toys, Moates APU-1 eprom-emulator\ALDL reader\chip reader/programmer, and on the right is electric controller for my exhaust, these things do seriously have some fancy features... more to come later.

Nice belts. I have the regular 2" Autocontrol ones in mine, not the 3".

Cliff8928, did you mount your shoulder belts to where the rear seatbelt was mounted?
Also, did you replace that axle already

Mine were mounted to the bottom of where the rear seat belt was mounted. I may change that though. The belt would stick out through the rear seat bottom and back.
Oh, and I have the 4-cylinder axle, just haven't installed it yet. The car is 226 miles (364km) from me right now. I want to get it done soon though, so much stuff to do and no time to do it.

This must be the happyest car around, no more cold and wet tent.
This is the working space i have when the rear bumber touches rear wall.
In the tent i didnt have any room when the car was in so this is a huge
upgrade. oh and i can take the bumbers out to get more room.
I used some time to plan the lightning so that i have the most light under hood and on the wheels where i need it. It came up really good.
Some background, it's build inside my parents house, in a space where there has been a garage in 1960's, but later divided to 2 storage rooms. It's actually a really small cause it's sized for that time european car (VW Beetle?!) but it's still better than the tent i have used to.
Goods:
- Heated
- Floor, no more mud for me

- Power (what allso means lights and radio allso)
- Water, sink
Bads:
- Could be bigger
- Could look better
- I need to carry a ramp for the door if i want to drive in\out
Oh, the car is going to get lots of work done now!
ok sry if im rehashing old posts blah blah whaddau care lol but i see 2 white rettas WITH ground effects and an ...older supra??

Just letting everyone know that the white car project is now on hold, black car project took all the time needed to get this thing on the road this year, so i guess i'l use next winter to do the job done and start driving this thing at next summer.

GTZ project updates
Alright, i haven't been touching the car for a while (too much to do with the black one), but now i'm starting to clean off the dust layers of this white one.
Soon i should be working with this thing daily again. I made some decision not to start any new projects before this is 'all done' for next season, so i can just drive it out of garage next spring and head to the racetrack. So winter is booked for making the white car done (for now).
Here's where i will start from now:
The LONG waited rear brakes are getting done, there is some thinking to do with the e-brake, since i'm going all custom with that one, but not going hydraulic yet..or hmm...

Time to catch up with updates:
Battery is now mounted on trunk, it's sitting there very solid, way better than in the original place up front! I used the rubber from the original mount, and sheet alumium fabbed to hold the other side of the bat down, that wont get loose no matter how hard i drive this thing.
For the rest of the space, i plan to cut polystyrene\etc to hold some of the basic tools. After i put the carpet over those, all this will be hidden and with fast look it's all invisible then, bat is only bit taller than the floor level.
Rear brakes are now done.
- Baer 12" rotors
- Corvette C4 calipers
- Caliper adapters
- Hawk brake pads
- Volvo 240 e-brake cables (hehe)
- Plenty of custom fabbed e-brake parts
- Custom centering rings
- Custom SS brake hoses
Also i swapped in new rear wheel hubs after installing longer ARP wheel studs into them.
Picture of the custom e-brake setup
Just to show how much did the brake swap widen the wheel placement, it could still be wider.
Rear tire wheel gap, lil too big for my taste, but car is still missing seats and couple more items, maybe it will change.. or not.
I got smaller licence plate that fits inside the US-spec bumper nicely.
I had so many added gadgets inside the car, that i added a relayed fuse box and wired everything there, it's mounted under the dash but pretty low so i can actually change the fuses without taking the whole car apart. Not visible without looking there tho.
I found my drivers seat's bottom foam part was completely and totally destroyed beyond any repair.
It was way too bad to put inside the car, so i HAD to do something to it, even if i didn't want to use time working with interior.
Lucky me that i had spare passenger seat from my 91 GTZ, i took the 85% good foam part from it, and swapped it to drivers seat.
And in the picture you can see one of those invisible tiny modifications that my car is full
glued thick rubber under the seat to make sure that foam does not start cutting in to the springs and else like the previous part had done.
It also feels lot stiffer to sit now.
Seats and seatbelts are in. As you can see there are some things needing touch-up, but all those are going to be done in future.. i'l put the door panels and stuff in sooner tho, as soon i get new fasteners.

Stock seatbelt locations were not strong enough to use with this setup, so my belts are now mounted to my shocktower brace, it also has couple new supports.
Washed the car and put it back on the garage nose to door.. Was pretty hard with these tires even with Team Green...
Sorry for crappy pics but it was pitch black out and i only had my phone with me.
I installed unmodified eggcrate grille with indy bowtie on it, i like the way it looks, so it can be like that until i'v decided what to put there at the end.
Some changes here, instead of air\oil separator, i'm now running breather-tank, witch was 2x bigger than it looked on website.
Also i re-did some of the wiring  from 2005, now more fail-safe, added some fuses too. And you can see 0.5F condensator there, i felt it didn't hurt to put it there.
Also swapped new air filter and some other minor changes.. now just waiting for ice to melt, or snow to rain over it, so i can do some test driving\running.
Also more and more i think about it, i want to re-do some of the other work i'v done like 4 years ago, these days i know&can lot more than back then...
But currently i decided not to take anything apart again, first i'l drive this summer and get back on the car next winter then, not sooner.
Just need to get it 100% functional for this summer first, so far looks good.

That rear shock tower bar is awesome! Would it interfere with the rear speakers if they were installed? You wouldn't happen to want to make another one, would you
Especially since I also have Schroth Autocontrol harnesses. Although I have the older 2" wide version, from the looks yours are the 3" wide belts.
