FD9B is right... but that's a 2095 converter, that is what you wanted right??? stock is FG9B

Hopefully the trans is as pretty inside as it is outside. Make sure they put the o-ring on the drive gear for the converter pump. Nvmd, I see the green ring.

Ok, I'll try this again. I tried to post a reply twice and it didn't work. It worked and very fast!
Yes that was the one I wanted. I thought it would help. I don't know why they painted the trans. I may end up putting my old pan on, the new one has had some rust on it at one time(you may be able to see it in the photo). Thanks for the post!

So that has a structural side pan? What FDR is that and what car/engine did it come from? Looks like they painted it and put an adjustable modulator on for you.

I'm not sure on the side pan because I have not seen my old one yet. Yes they painted it, as I said I don't know why. It is for a 1995 Grand Prix 3100. They said that they did all the up to date upgrades. I had them change the VSS to 29, but I didn't count it to be sure that it was done. Yes I now have two adjustable vac mods. The FDR 3.33 and as 3X00 said the stall is 2095. That is what the Grand Prix had in it.
Though I have always planned to get a stall in every car I had this will be my first(though it's not much of one).

Oh, so they rebuilt it? I see. Hardened parts then I guess are the latest upgrades.

Yeah Grand PRIX trans. You were saying Grand Am in a few threads and I was like uh, that FDR is going to be the same as the Beretta.. :)

Grand Am twice? Oh man I've lost my mind. I thought it was just once. Beer doesn't hurt the young......guess I really am old.
I'm going to thank you for giving me the idea after I get this trans in! My tires are going to hate you for that.

99% of rebuild kits come with the adjustable Modulator.

I'm starting not to like these guys. I just got a call from a woman and she has my warranty card and I have hers. We only have 15 days to send them in. I didn't open mine because I didn't think I had to send anything in and the trans is still has not been put in yet.

Collaborate with her, she fills out yours, you fill out her's and you mail them in, yeah it blows, but it lessens the time that you need to send them to each other.

That would have been the smart thing to do. She called at 6pm and I called the company just after that(4pm their time). They said that everything would be resent. I asked if we would have another 15 days, but the guy just laughed and said we would get them in on time. =@ Something is ticking.

I'm going to update this because I found this topic on a web search.
PATC Transmissions builds a 700/4L60 with a first gear of 2.84(what they call the "Power Gear"). This is not much of a change from our 2.92. I did try to contact them on putting that gear into a 4T60, but they never got back to me.
From what they say on their site there is a 500rpm less of a drop at WOT from 1st to 2nd when using the 2.84 vs 3.06. For us I bet it's more like 200rpm. That wouldn't be worth much. Too bad they don't make one in 2.50.

4L60 and 4T60 are fwd vs rwd... I doubt they share any similar parts... As I noted before, the gears in an auto are not the same as in a 5-speed where you can just swap two physical gears.
