4t60e Performance Rebuild kit.

Post by 3X00-Modified »

Well I found one out there... I'm ordering it today and I spoke with the owner last night. The kit comes from Raybestos and the clutches are made specifically for them, they are a high energy type material and they are all matched up with the proper steels. It also includes o-ring and the seals and the gaskets.

I should be able to return my $60 gasket kit I ordered from TPUSA then so I can save some money.

I will update this thread when I receive the kit to show everyone whats included.

The website is http://www.levelten.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I found them on the Raybestos performance distributor list when I was trying to find a place that sells their Blue material clutches for the 60e.

Finally something that I can put in this 60e so it can hold up to the abuse!

Looks good... It's unfortunate you can't get all the goodies available for the RWDs. I just upgraded to a bunch of billet parts on a 4L65-E. Made a world of difference without even pulling it.

Kit should be here middle of this week... I'll get pics up when I get it.

Found some unwanted wear in my current trans, so I'm glad I bought this in the end. I originally hoped to only look through the trans, but with what I found stuff definately needed to be replaced, AND upgraded to survive.

I got the kit, FINALLY... was rather pissed about it too... Put it this way, the kit I bought for $398 contained a $70 at most, overhaul kit with seals and o-rings, a $12 filter (with no new inlet seal), and quite possibly a $150 clutch pack kit... The clutches are the Raybestos Stage 1 Red's VERY tough clutches so I'm happy with that, but hell for that price and the quote of "bulletproof trans kit" I expected new steels, new bands, and maybe a few molded pistons... Granted I didn't need the pistons. But I would have appreciated the bands.

Either way I sent them a nasty e-mail saying I was misinformed since over the phone I was repetitively told it was a "full rebuild kit" and if you ask me, a full rebuild kit should include the bands, and steels. I already purchased a coast band elsewhere so when I composed the e-mail I only asked for the forward and reverse bands... those both being $40+ too. But they said they are going to ship me both bands and a set of steels, since I told them if they couldn't I was sending the whole kit back.

I will not recommend buying from them ONLY because the kit they sell for that price is very incomplete, I'm trying to verify it with wittrans.com and see if the stage 1 kit that they list is a Raybestos brand kit that they just put their part number on, and its not a knock off... If this is true then I will strongly suggest anyone to buy from wittrans.com since their prices are VERY reasonable... I could have purchased the overhaul kit, bands, full filter kit, clutch module, and steel module all from them with free shipping for under $398... I wish I knew that earlier... lol

I'll get pics up hopefully tonight of the Stage 1 clutches.
