that indeed does look bitchin'! Did you cut those from adhesive vinyl? and did you put anything over them to cover them up?

Yup. With the old caps that came with the wheels I was going to encapsulate the vinyl with a polyurethane dome like the name badges we make at work, but these new caps wouldnt work without a lip to hold the fluid until it cured. So I'm just going to leave the vinyl on there as is. It should hold up for quite a while. I did the same thing with my new truck wheels this winter and even the salt, mud etc. didnt affect them.

So I drove it around everywhere today and got some datalogging done and sent the info to superdave. Took it to the grocery store a couple hours later and it stalled in the middle of the road on the way home. So I pushed it into a nearby parking lot and hitched a ride to grab my laptop and check the SES code. It was a code 22 "tps low" but the tps signal was smooth from 0-99.6. Then I noticed the BLM was at 128 and INT at 0. Could it have just pulled all the fuel like that? I unhooked the battery to reset the ECM and it fired up and drove fine immediately (with the INT at 128).

I'm a little confused...

that's sweet. I've been wanting to do something similar with my center caps. How much would you charge to do something like this to mine? Or do you know a type of shop that would have the same capabilities? Thanks.

I'd like to buy an autoprom so I can do all this crap myself...there is a lot of info out there for OBDI. And the truck is also OBDI and it wouldnt be a tough swap to make the Camaro OBDI with a 3rd-gen TBI harness.

If you ask Isaac though OBDI tuning is SO cheap... What's stopping you? ;)

You guys always bust my ass on things so here it is back. LOL

But yes, get a programmer... E-Tuning blows and you'll never get it right going back and forth. Plus it will be so much nicer to actually understand yourself what you are doing and why, and what may be an issue when you are running the car at the strip.

Yeah, swapping carb jets on my 200* engine in the beating sun at Lebanon last year made me envious...

I think myself to be reasonably intelligent, so I don't think OBDI tuning will be that tough once I have the equipment. Moates had a nice tutorial on using the autoprom.

Funds are the issue right now, I don't want to go blowing money until the house is offically closed.

hell i wasnt even the one swapping the jets on the carb and i knew it blew doing it in the sun or a hot engine.

the tuning itself isnt hard. its sitting down and reading through everything that takes time.

about the equipment talk to issaac him and superdave are pretty good with the OBD-1 stuff.there was a list on 60degreev6.com on what was needed and i thing issaac was the one who priced it out and it came in pretty cheap.

it is nice to be able to sit there with a laptop and change things VS dicking around under a hot car.
