That is rather tempting I must admit, but I'm thinking this is likely the last year for the 3500.

Dang man!

I'm about done with this project.

Get this season done, see what I can make it do, and then who cares?

I'll keep the Quad forever but the whole 3500 project is boring me, and I haven't even had it to the track yet with this set up!

I'm guessing a low 13, but that is just what it is. It won't see a 12 in street trim.

Bigger and better things to explore.

And I have pretty well decided it's not going to B'Fest.

Well, don't hate me for asking this... But...

WHAT"S THE POINT?? Why build it at all if you don't even want it anyway?? If money is burning a hole in your pocket that bad, send me some of it so I can finish putting my Z back to some original sharpness!!! lol

The "point" was it is the first 3500 Beretta. But that was four years ago.

It proved the TH-125/3t40 could be built to handle the power.

That the car could be a winner and withstand the abuse. (It finally broke an axle after over 1000 runs, and even that was my fault). It has averaged about $3000 a year in winnings.

And I suppose it lead the way for the 3500 swaps that followed.

But this incarnation is taking longer than I anticipated to get out of the damn garage through no one's fault, and it's a little frustrating.

However I'm really quite tired of it all at this point, so I'll run it a few times this summer, see what I can get out of it and from there who knows?

Maybe if I ignore it for a year I'll regain some interest, or just lose all interest and give the damn thing away or perhaps have someone else race it.

:pardon:

The 6th if it doesn't rain.

And if all it runs is 13.8 my fire insurance better be up to date!

lmao... I'll be patiently awaiting the update.

Oh and why do you care? You only spent money... Rodney is the one who put it all together and has the responsibility to tune it... I'm sure he will be pulling his hair out if it doesn't do what he expects.

Everybody keeps telling me I don't work on this car, but I have ALOT of dirty tools that must get that way by themselves.

Ok ok, yeah I can see you working on it... But still... You can build any motor but if you cant tune it, it wont run... SO in the end its still Rodney's brain that will be working overtime to get it right.

Eric put the car together, it was all his idea, he was the first 3500 swap when everyone said it couldn't be done.
I helped build this engine yes, but he was right in there as dirty as I was.

Yes I will be tuning it, and so far I have it starting and idling near perfect. I've been waiting for Eric to get his damn coolant hose thing done so we can take it for a drive and do some logging. But I don't know how to tune, just like Eric doesn't work on his car. LOL.
