To catch this thread up:

Installed my TCE tb and the newly-ported UIM last weekend. Checked the fuel injectors while it was apart and none of them leaked - at all. Played with the mail order AKZX tune I got and it threw 2 codes: 41 & 43. Idle AFR was good, but it pegged lean whenever I cracked the throttle and gave me spark knock on my short trip around the block. Ran like complete garbage. Dave is not sure what it could be, so I'm going to throw the BFUZ chip back in for now.

I decided to finally slop fiberglass resin all over my headliner board and added mat where it was cracked. It's much more rigid now and I shouldn't have to worry about it falling apart...but it looks like crap. You can see some of the imperfections even through the padded upholstery. If I keep my eyes on the road I can't see it anyway I guess...

Have a friend coming over tonight to do some cut & buff work tonight. At worst it will take care of the sanded spot on my pass quarter that's been there are year. At best we will do the whole car if there is time.

Why do I always have to cut it so close for car meets?

Headliner fits like crap! I'm having some issues. I used the fiberboard from my 95 since it was the least-deteriorated, and cut a big hole for the sunroof. Well, now that it is sturdy thanks to the fiberglass resin, the sunroof latch and dome light do not want to bolt up, and the sunroof trim doesnt look quite right. I guess what I need, and need badly, is a good condition factory sunroof headliner board. They must be easy to find right?

I'll try to make what I have work, but it's not gonna be good. Some of the board is just too thick for the sunroof parts.

Didn't even make it to Carlisle. Nothing was progressing as planned, and there was too much house work to do... Pics!

Playing "musical memcals" to try and get the tune sorted out.
Image

Checking the injectors for leaks as another possible source of my overly rich AFR.
Image

Ported the UIM & threw my 65mm TCE on.
Image

Soaking the deteriorated headliner in fiberglass resin so it holds together.
Image

Added fiberglass mat to the really weak areas and all the cracks. I made some adjustments to it with a DA sander after I test-fitted it and it's a lot better now. Hopefully the final product is respectable.
Image

Picked up a jack while I was in tractor supply. You don't realize just how many tools you need until you don't have them. I've been sharing tools with my dad for years & years, but it's already getting old driving across town when I need something...so I need to stockpile my own.

Interior a disaster area while wiring.
Image

Running two wires from the temp sensor in the front grille and a reverse light input and a switched hot & ground for the compass/temp mirror.
Image

Mirror finished.
Image

Hopefully hitting the yard today for an overhead console 4-pin connector, 7730 ECM, and one more velcro headliner strip.

Interior is done and fully assembled! (Although I will likely add leather shift & ebrake boots). Exterior just needs a cut & buff and the tip on my muffler.

Took it to the local Walton car show yesterday after a thorough cleaning and won nothing. haha Outside our little cult there is little love for Berettas. There was a 95 Grand Prix guy that really liked it, but he seemed pretty sour on the fact that a little ol' Beretta could kick the crap out his car.

Here are some pics of the pig all cleaned up:

The polarizer filter on my camera gives some interesting reflections some times.

I did have mirror tint on my 90 GTZ when I was young & dumb. Here's a pic in that same spot even!

That's actually from that same GTZ when I was 16. I thought about getting rid of it, because it is tacky...but there's some nostalgia behind it!

With a little patience and a jig it is possible to engrave an aluminum intake manifold with a machine made for engraving plastic and burnishing brass tags. Work equipment FTW!!

I had originally planned on painting the bowtie red after I was done, but the machined aluminum looks pretty cool too, and everyone at work is telling me not to paint it. I'm still leaning toward the red since it ties the engine bay scheme together. Here are a couple pics and a photoshop.

What do you think?

Those are factory black 91 GT door panels that I reupholstered.

You can get them in a few different colors from 91-93, but since your car should have the seat belts on the door a 94-96 door panel would be better for you. It would probably look funny though if you didnt swap to a 91-96 dash too though.
