Interested in doing some trading? Come on in!

Post by SuzukiGhostRider »

Ok, sooooooooooooooo............

After being jerked around SEVERAL times by douche bags on Ebay who claimed interest and blah, blah, blah, but then flaked off for one reason or another (NOT the title) I'm DONE with listing the car there. What a waste of time AND money!! Left me pissed off and not much else for the effort.

So , my point is this. I will assume, like most of us right now, that people are a little broke. Cash flow is the biggest problem I hear from people who want my car but can't afford more than $1700 in cash. I understand. I'm broke too.

Here is what I propose. I need some parts.

Mostly quad stuff and/or '91 Grand Am stuff. (That's what, 2nd Gen GA I guess?)

I also can use First Gen Beretta Stuff (yeah, weak pun :D)

SOooooooooo... If you have some cash AND some parts to trade we can mayhap work out a deal!

Price is $2400 OBO or Cash+Trade.

I will still deliver it for .35 a mile. Delivery charge MUST be paid in cash.

Minimum I will take CASH is $1500 with some parts trading involved. MAYBE less IF you have a very tasty deal for me.

Minimum cash with no trade is $2000.00 Don't even bother offering me less. I won't take it.

Yes, the price is back up. I decided I'm not GIVING this car away.

You all know the car. It's the SCX. The one in my signature.

PM me or reply here with offers.

If you have a remark or smartass offer that's NOT a sincere interest in the car , please keep it to yourself and REFRAIN from posting in my thread. Thanks.

A few pics for newcomers or those who don't know.

Good luck on the sale SGR. It's a shame to see it go.

The problem may be that the CARFAX is a little disconcerning.

That thing was scrapped and re-born. In fact as I re-call you bought it at a junk yard.

That alone is going to turn alot of people away.

I did not buy this car at a junkyard asylum. You're thinking of the '91 GA LE and it has a CLEAN title. The SCX was not "scrapped and reborn". It was in an accident, with no frame or pillar damage and being it was only 3 years old at the time, the insurance company obviously thought it cheaper to call it a total loss than fix it. So , my guess is the owner took the money , bought the car back and fixed it which automatically slaps it with a salvage title. I would expect an insurance guy to understand how this works.

I drive this car every day almost and have logged almost 10k miles with only mostly minor issues and have fixed them as they arose, and have done plenty of preventative maintenance as well. I don't think a salvage title issued 14 years ago should have that deep of an effect. If something were that wrong, the car wouldn't still be on the road 14 years later.

Perhaps you are right though and people just run scared when they see "salvage title".

Ok I stand corrected, and sorry, but I still think that may be an issue with alot of people.

Distance is no limitation to me if it's not to you. Just be able to pay the delivery fee. Still for sale.

At least paint that IDI cover, and maybe spruce the car up a bit. A little elbow grease could help you get the price and sale your looking for.
