Alright, I Got to ask.

Post by kylez26 »

This is driving me crazy. and i feel like i wouldn't be a true beretta owner if i didn't know the difference. Here it goes. What is the difference between a z26 and a GTZ? I personally cant find any differences other than the fact the GTZ came with a 2.3 Quad? But Didn't the come with the v6 too?

The GTZ model ran from 90-93. Had the 3.1/auto and 2.3/manual options with a better suspension package and body kit.

The Z26 ran from 94-96 and shared the body kit and seats, but only came with the 3100/auto combo. No performance package save for the FE3 suspension.

You are forgetting the 94 year Z26 also had a manual 5 speed transmission and a quad HO with the highest HP rating for that engine that year.

No, he meant that in 1994, the Quad was the highest HP engine available.

Exactly. Actually both the 3100 and the quad had the highest HP stock ratings in 94. 95 and 96 the 3100 had a few HP less. :D

GTZs had FE7 vs the Z26s FE2 or FE3. Both had 16x7 wheels, but a different style. And the interior of all berettas changed in 94, which in effect makes the interiors different from GTZs & Z26s. Same things with the OBDI to OBDI.5 change in 94 and then OBDII in 96.
