hey guys
hey guys
Hey guys, was looking through the site and was amazed at all the useful stuff. I owned 94 3.1 maroon beretta a few years back and almost kept as a project car but the wife wanted me to get rid of it. Needless to say the guy that bought it from me wasnt that bright and rolled it 3 months after he bought it. Man that was a sad day. But anyways, I am hoping to pick up a project car around the chicago area (i live about 60 miles south). So if anyone sees one pm me or email me. Thanks

Re: hey guys
I know you are in Chicago, but I do have a decent 94 Z26 for sale if you are interested. Not too far away, but still a good drive.

My name is Bart. There is an episode from "The Simpsons" where the family goes to Itchy and Scratchy land. Bart goes to the gift shop to purchase those personalized license plates. The store does not have "bart" plates but the do have "bort" plates. Bart proceeds to ask who the hell is named bort and half the store ends up being named bort. As for the 99, that is the year i graduated high school. I actually have that (Bort99) on my license plates as well.Money pit Beretta wrote:Where did you get the bort99 from?
Quality is bad but here is a video for those who like the show.

Re: hey guys
I vaguely remember that episode from my child hood of watching Simpsons
They thought it was bad news in elementary school when I said Bart was my role model... LOL

Re: hey guys
I live in De Tour Village, MI. About 8-9 hours from Chicago. Sad part.. I was IN Chicago with the Z this past summer for Bfest! LOL Anyways, as to pics, I have pictures of this thing all over the site. Go to the link below in my signature for the restoration project thread for more pics and info. You can also hit www.bstuff.com which has even more. I do drive it on nice days during the week, so it gets used a bit, but once winter gets here it will be going into storage. I would rather have it sold than do that. But either way, no problem. Let me know.bort99 wrote:I would be interested. What city do you live in? Re: hey guys
normally wouldnt drive that far but the car is in great condition. Not rust on the body or frame. it is a 96 with 92k miles on it. Was some elderly lady's car she drove to work and was garaged when it wasnt being used. The price is a little higher than what I thought also but i think 2850 is good for the condition it is in.

Re: hey guys
Oh yeah that sounds good. When I was looking I found a 96 Z26 for $3300 and it had 150k on it. I didn't even go to look at it.
See if you can get the price down a bit, say $2600. But the fact that it was inside is worth alot. It's far better to spend your money on getting it to run the best that it can and not fighting rust. Be sure to check the upper rear spring mount area though. Also check for new parts under the hood(plugs, plug wires and O2). Anything like those will save you money in the long run and make the car worth more to you. You going to drive it back if you buy it?

On the home page, go to model info, It says there was 5990 Berettas in Black Rose. Not sure how many were Z cars though, It looks like this was the second most produced color in 96'. There were only more in bright red. Nice find, get them pics up when you can.
