Same thing I'm thinkin. I was pretty set with bstuff. When I first joined the forums, this site wasn't half as easy to use as it is now, which made the transition soo much easier. I say I'm here for good, no matter if bstuff somehow makes it back or not

I never bothered to join here because, as mentioned before, the Beretta community is too small to have so many different sites. I like it here better anyways, the slitting of Bstuff's throat was just a convenient way to trim the fat.

I appreciate the support, My hours are still kinda crazy and I haven't fully adjusted yet, but I am actively working on new content and new features. If anyone has anything they would like to see added always feel free to send me a pm or email.

That has been the policy since I took over actually.

I don't really ever see the two sites merging. To me it's not so much different ways of doing things and such as it is some people really rub some others wrong between the two communities.

I don't see the certain "cliques" ever breaking their ties to be one with the community , so in that regard, I really doubt that the two sites will ever mesh properly. I think what will happen if Bstuff is down for the count is a good many members will just fall off of the map rather than worry about coming under constant fire over here.

They will still love their cars, and likely keep them, but imho will just disappear off the radar.
Key word in this post is "cliques". I am not in one or plan to be. I don't really talk to any Bstuff or BNET members off the boards.

When I joined BNET in 2000, I got buried by its members. I left and went to Bstuff. Some of those members that attacked me then. Still have friends here now. I do come here at least once a week. I NEVER post. Due to the issues of "older" and "wiser" members that have "F"ed with me in the past. I don't come to a forum to get attacked and harassed. I come to a forum to relax and BS with people that have the same interest in Berettas. BNET has had the rep of being VERY conservative with appaearance and VERY harsh with people that don't think like they do.

I probably will continue to come to BNET. But I will do what I have always done. Not post, just read. Less BS and drama from members here that way.

The group of individuals who post on this forum has GREATLY changed from the days of 2000. I know because I was also around that time and saw/heard some of the posts. I didn't let it bother me and did what I wanted to do. It was near around Pittsburgh Bfest time maybe even 05 that activity on the Bnet board was coming to a crawl and those "older/wiser" ones you speak had started to move on to other things or just loose interest. Only recently in 08 or so has Bnet been revived and If you notice almost all of the Mods here are not the originals... Only two I remember being Mods before is Heavywoody and maybe Cliff... but I could be wrong on Cliff.

Bottom line the posting activity here has picked up with members FROM Bstuff who were sick of drama and arguing that would go on over there from supposed "OG members" as they put it. So really what you are saying is you don't wish to interact with members from the board you used to once frequent and moderate.

Also if you think that your posts are going to cause BS and Drama then maybe there is something wrong with what your saying... Because I seriously doubt that there will be any BS or Drama about plans you have for your car or what you have done to your car since there are many others on this board with other non factory exterior modifications.

What I'm trying to say is Bnet is not the same crowd you might remember.

Happy reading I guess though.

That right there is why 90% of the Beretta people that I talk to do not like posting on this forum. It seems there can be very little off topic comments.
Mostly you meet friends when traveling by accident, like by sitting next to them on the train, or in a restaurant, or in a holding cell.

What the hell does that have to do with off topic comments/chatter? He said he left because people did not like his appearance mods so I simply stated that if he were to post info about appearance mods he wants to do or has done I DOUBT this crowd would object as much. WHERE did I say that's ALL he could post???

Maybe that's the big issue... You guys just don't understand.

If you want to have an Off topic chat HAVE ONE in the off topic section, and don't put it in someone's thread about something, ALSO do not expect your first 5 approval posts of off topic banter on why the approval process blows on this board to get approved. Its not hard to make your first 5 posts about who you are or your car, OR simply replies to some one else thread rather than a new topic as follows...

"If I post in the off topic section does it count as one of the 5 posts I need to make"

SERIOUSLY!? is it that hard to understand?

And to be quite honest I'm really not missing this 90% of Beretta people that you talk to, because most of them I can't even picture BEING at an event. If you want to be that separate from Bnet then fine, you can continue on with your other board, BUT you just seem to keep wanting to come back here and start crap.

This is the last post I'm accepting of this crap. If I see ANYMORE banter about Bstuff, the members who left and the reasons why they dont want to come here it WILL get deleted and you will get warned.

I'M DONE HEARING ABOUT IT.

How much goofing off in alloud in the "off topic" section? Does it have to be car related? Because the wife and I went to a costume party saturday. Got some great pictures of some very creative costumes. Would that be okay to post?
