I have been looking at 3X00 pacesetter N-body headers. Im assuming in order to fit my 3100 i would have to modify them. If so what would i have to do in order to make them fit? Has anybody ran these? If anybody has, I would like to know how good they are.

barry is the one has that has used these, the rear will need to be modded but if you got to wot-tech.com they have sets that are made for our car

Do the wot-tech headers perform better? The pacesetters cost $350, and the wot-tech cost $600.....do they really require $250 of labor in modifacation?

Yes the Pacesetter ones are OK if you dont mind a 4 piece set... and having to cut the rear hearder and re-angle it to clear the firewall...

Yes WOT-Tech sells them for our car, but double check with them to see what the lead time is. I do not know if they have them made or if they are made by order... but yes those should fit better, BUT still require modification in your engine bay... Re-locate the Oil pressure sender, modify the fan possibly, and I think you need to re-route the coolant line for the heater core possibly.

But double check with them on those modifications because I'm not positive on what has to be done with the non beta sets to fit.

To answer the question you just asked...
The WOT tech ones are very close to equal length and you do not need to cut and weld them... So the choice is yours.

I bought and chopped up the first set of S&S ones to fit a beretta and those were &500 that I had to cut and hopefully make fit.

I had to do quite a bit of cuts to make them fit... Especially since it was my first set doing this. Others I did looked MUCH better :)

The front is bolt on with a OPSU relocation and a slim fan. Gotta grind the 5-speed trans a lil. Custom crossover, highly modded rear header. Been using them for like 15k miles. No leaks or anything. I got them for like 380 shipped so I am happy. Its a ton of work though.

Probably wont work with the old 5-speed mount.

You need to do what 3x00-modified posted to the rear header pretty much.

These use 1 5/8 primaries, 2.5 secondaries, and a 3 inch collector. A little overkill for my stock 3500 but oh well

Since he's wondering if they will fit his 3100 I'm assuming he has a 94-96 3100 and does not have the 5-speed unless this is a 3100 installed in a older beretta... which would be odd since the 3400 would have been a better donor.

With that said, it wouldnt be much different to make these fit with a auto trans. Mine has tons of room behind the motor because I took it kind of close to the firewall. Mine may even fir over an auto.

I made custom heatercore lines too, forgot to add that
