Is there really such a thing

Post by 1990BerettaGTZ2.3L »

I have a chance to buy a supposed 1993 beretta z26 3.1 5 speed, since I know they don't make a 93 z26, I'm pretty sure he doesn't know what he has and I'm almost positive it's a gtz with the grill it has and the side skirts and the bumpers and the gtz wheels I don't wanna tell him it's a gtz cause it might go up in price, but did they make gtzs with a 3.1 and a 5 speed if so this is the first 3.1 gtz I've seen

Gtz came 2.3 5-speed or 3.1 auto only.

from the pics, that car looks like something some 16 yr old bought, and threw gfx on, and now wants to call it a gtz and try n get the most money for it.

id take it and get rid of all the red.. the black is nice though just undo that ugly headlight job,, buy some side skirts, and throw a good black solid grille on the front of it and youd have a decent vehicle that looks like a gtz

Yep. This is a hybrid-put-together or a GTZ in need of some work. Ugh.

MI'M probably gonna end up buying this car but idk yet cause it's got a gtz/z26 front end with fogs, I asked if it was a z26 and his girlfriend said it was a gt with z26 stuff and gtz wheels I don't want this car if the fogs are on a toggle switch maybe I'm just picky about my factory working parts idk haha

if its a gt, unless the dude went all out with the wiring, the fogs are probably either constantly on, dont work, or on a toggle switch with some f'd up wiring.

I took a closer look at the pictures. It has definitely had some mods done to the lighting, the headlights are not original, probably beamer lights or similar. They are most certainly not stock lights. So yeah his fogs probably work, but how they work is uncertain. He might have done it right, but who knows.

The grill has been altered. Looks like crap, but it can always be replaced. Definitely a put-together GTZ. Both GTZ and Z26's had the same bumper with foglites. Missing BOTH door skirts, probably because he was unwilling or unable to install them. If it were me, I would probably have passed, mainly because it would be hard to say what all was done to it, or how badly it was done, not to mention how hard he was on the car while he owned it... If it had the right price though, maybe, but then I would be fixing some of the problems. Now he could have done everything well, then drove it, and now wants to sell it too, but he could have taken better pics or something.
