Eibach Springs & KYB shocks

Post by michi »

Is there a package for that stuff? I also really wonder why i do only find 95-96 eibach springs anymore... anyone know a website where to get that stuff that fits 88-91? I want this stuff new, not used

I think i know why. The cars are over 15 years old and there's probably zero demand for the springs. any that you find have probably been sitting in a warehouse for a long time.

discontinued

Used or go with a different brand unfortunately. Or as Weba would suggest, go the full custom spring route and make the spring work the way they should, all aftermarket versions leave some to be desired.

I found Plenty of Eibach's when looking for a new set of Intrax springs for my GTZ but there were plenty for the later models – Went with AC Delco since I couldn't locate any for a 1990. As far as the KYB's go, I bought mine a couple years ago and they weren't that hard to find then, but it was two years ago…..

Keep looking.

Yeah that sucks... i should have bought a set a year ago as i saw some on ebay. Now there everywhere 95-96 only.. pretty much sucks. Dont want to go different brand cause i dont want to make it sit much lower than stock, just need some stiffer springs.

The year stretch on springs is 87-94 and 95-96 so if you found springs for "later years" then they would have fit a 90.

KYB's are still on Rock Auto.

btw 95-96 is discontinued now too... eibach doesn't list them any more; people are just selling off old stock I'm assuming.

Yeah but i think they are too low. I have a quad4 header and dont like to hit the ground with it while hard driving on mountain roads etc. thats why i would be fine with nearly stock drop, i just thought about some performance springs that handle pretty well and thought eibachs are a good upgrade with not that much drop as other brands

I have Canucks on my GTZ, And a full 2 1/2 inch exhaust. The down pipe doesnt seem too low, but the rear of the exhaust is. I have to go over speed bumps at a angle for the exhaust not to scrape. But the performance of the springs make it worth it

GTZryda, do you know how much ground clearance you got? Cars here must have atleast 11cm (4.3 inch) ground clearance... and i think i could run into issues if the car is too low, even if bearly 11cm... cause i also dont get an certificate for the springs that fit my car. I tell you guys, modding an american car here in austria pretty much SUCKS since there is no aftermarket parts made in europe... its even nearly unpossible to get aftermarket 17" or 18" rims legally on my car, rofl.
Engine modding, suspension, tires/rims, everything have to be authorized here so i dont want to be too extreme since i already run a 4-1 header and 2.5" exhaust on my car :D

Also, when cops check out the tire size(they usually do) and they see red springs there they know they are aftermarket, so then i have problems haha. Eibachs are black and have little drop but good performance, thats why i prefer eibach if i go with different springs :)
