Need window moulding

Post by hlfmnhlfamzg »

I've looked just about everywhere I can think of, hopefully someone around here knows of some online aftermarket vendor where I can find these.

Where the windows push up out of my doors, inbetween two pieces of rubber, they're all dry rotted. On both the exterior and interior. I'd like to replace them, so the windows work more proper. It's also affecting my driver side door panel as well.

Any thoughts? Thanks

Sorry the only thing new is Vintage Auto parts. It's GM parts, but at an even higher cost than the dealer.
Sometimes you can get lucky and find a set of good used ones here.

It's aggravating. I'm not even 100% sure I'm using the part's proper technical name. Trying to google variations of 'window molding' doesn't get me to what I'm looking for any kind of vehicle, much less my own.

It's referred to as a belt molding.

If you have to go to your GM dealer and ask them to print off the part numbers and the diagram of the door and it's parts. That will give you all the names and part numbers. Some you may be able to find online, others are gone for good.
I was lucky, one guy up at my dealer had an 88GT so he is happy to help.

"dew strips" is just a slang term for them.
