Added another attachment point for the trans bracket. I'm sure it's overkill, but I do beat this car like a redheaded stepchild...

Also, the headers & intake pipes went out today UPS for coating. Should have them back by mid next week. In the mean time I'm going to install the drivetrain and get everything ready and waiting for the headers.

yea thats for sure cause thats prolly where it would ended up especially when i decided to get my house and was making sure i had the money for it. and now look at me i bought another and dumping the money in this one too

and i find it weird that all this had to be done to the bracket as the car i have now has the same bracket and headers (unmodified) and i could almost put my finger between them but then again the tranny i have is nvg if that makes any bit of difference in the casing

this one will be finished i just 86d the fbody brakes and cleaning things up before they go on the car and i have to change the clutch master i believe ( what a pita to get to under the brake booster) as i really dont want to pull the tranny to do the clutch as its only got like 5-6k miles on the clutch. as i lose pedal for some reason, i tried bleeding it and it got worse so that what leads me to this so in goes replacement along with braided line at the same time

It was nice today so I did some detailing...cleaned up & painted the trans & trans accessories. I also rednecked the trans with JB Weld! Ran some studs in to the trans and filled the back side of the cavity with JB. The main trans bracket is TIGHT to install with the studs and the shift lever installed, but it works.

Now I'm debating installing the full assembled drivetrain from the bottom by lifting the body with the cherry picker. Might be easier to install with the trans bracket already installed on the trans.

Got the clutch installed & the drivetrain all together today. Even test-fit lifting the body and installing from the bottom, so that's how I'm gonna try it this time. Just need my headers back from coating and she'll be ready to rock!

First, you broke the spoon.

Second, 6 puck disk is annoying sometimes, especially reverse.

That's the only way I've ever done it before...

Hell i didnt use a picker to lift my car, i did it by putting the long subframe bolts in the back mounting holes, put a 4x6 behind them and a jack under that. Lifted the car right up and over that tall ass quad motor of mine :) Of course, i have a weak picker, i need to repair it before i use it again

Plastic spoons are no match for the strength of JB Weld!!!

The clutch is the 2+ from earlier in the thread. The flywheel side is Kevlar just like the 2, and the pressure plate side is the 6-puck metallic.
