Shift Cables
Anyone have any new or nearly new shift cables? It doesnt matter if they are 90-91 or 92-94. I just ripped another selector cable and im starting to get a lil mad that i keep ripping these cables open. there has to be a way to keep from ripping them. So if anyone has a near perfect selector cable thats cool too. Just let me know what you have! The sooner the better.

Re: Shift Cables
You talking about ripping the ends off? Why not thread some small heim joints or something on the ends?

No, the cable ripped out of the socket of the cable mount on the trans. Right where the cable ends and the housing thats held down on the trans starts. Right where they all rip out. It doesnt look too bad and i may be able to repair it somehow, but would like to get another selector cable if i can.
Im taking it to a local shop tomorrow as it looks like there is enough material there, i could have the cable welded to the housing and never have to worry about it ever again. I will keep you all posted, in the mean time, let me know what you got for selector cables and please send me pics when you contact me
I found out there are two different types for the earlier cable design.

Yeah starting too notice that i remember jon talking to push pull. Then i found another thread where rodney dickman was going to make them a few years ago.Either way the plastic ones suck.Mine gave no notice and failed on a hill while i was reversing.I hit a parked car in front of me.Luckymc420 wrote:There are major threads going on this but die out due to people getting busy and also no luck.
