Computer Chip Quest.
Anyone ever heard of "Jets Performance Chips"? I see that they have one for a 2.8 and was wondering if it would be worth trying out? The price is about $125.
I know its just a 2.8, but if I could get a little more out of it this way, I figured what the heck. Any general thoughts on chips too would be great.

Absolute waste of money. Its a generic chip that only removes the speeed limiter and nothing else.
WOT-TECH.COM has a chip for cheaper and is tailored for our motors.

Yeah, listen to Wanako. Over the years a lot of people have dyno'd Jet chips, and Hypertech and Superchips (when they made one) - and each and every time the end result with before and after dynoing is......... less than 1 horsepower gained.
The guy that does the WOT-TECH chips has been working on our types of cars for a long time, and has been doing chips even longer.
You can't beat it for the price. They usually dyno at right around a 5hp gain, which for the money on these cars is nearly untouchable. Plus, you can get things like revised cooling fan turn on times to keep the engine running cooler - another nice difference if you run a 180* thermostat. (When Hypertech had a chip for our cars - that option cost another $30 and they also recommended you buy one of their $20 thermostats too.)
