WTB: Front bumper moulding\trim. (black?)

Post by weba »

I need the Front bumper molding\trim piece for base\GT style bumper, the one-piece model (not the short one from early models with engine decals)

I'd prefer it to be from black car and in perfect condition, but can take other colors too, then i just have to wait for the part to arrive before anything else gets painted. :friends:

Image Refering to this image, do you need the red piece or the Charcoal trim that goes around it? If you need the charcoal part, I believe it's part of the bumper. I don't think you can take it off. You'd need to get a new bumper or fix the damages. Anyone have input on this as I've never had to disassemble these bumpers.

Yea, the only ones I've seen for sale are red. I got some black ones back in 2007 but have not seen them on sale since.

Yea, that's the one! At least it LOOKS like the right one. Also, JAWS, it's Free Ship within the U.S. They will want to charge you $54 to ship to UK/Europe so let's take advantage of the free shipping.

On that note, Weba, I'm willing to help you out with this. I'm sure I can ship that to you MUCH cheaper. I know you're a trustworthy guy and most of the guys here know this too. So I'm willing to buy this for you, then ship it to you at a better rate and give you the final price of item + shipping and you can paypal me the funds. Yes? Talk to me and we can make this happen. ;)

Nice find, but that is listed for 88-89 cars, does it mean it's the shorter version for the ones that had separate 2.8MPFI decal? It wont fit mine in that case. Or was i dreaming about such emblem, I am not actually sure...

Can anyone confirm that it's the same lenght?

Wanako, nice thought but currency course is good for me, and re-routing the box via you would add week or two for the shipment to come here, so I'll just order it directly in case it fits.

No problem, I just thought I'd suggest it for just in case. ;)

Either way, you're right. The earlier cars had the engine size designation on that strip, but I never saw that they were multiple parts. When I bought mine a few years ago, which was similar to this one, It went on exactly with one strip. I don't think there was a difference between the Base/GT body cars throughout all years. I think...

I can confirm that I have a new one of those red strips on the shelf and it has the "2.8 MFI" right on the strip itself, not as a separate piece.
