Rear Suspension finally!
After 3 yrs of spooling the idea in my head...I finally put something together...

this is a custom wound spring rated @ a supposedly 350lb/in, 1" drop from stock versus a coilover try 350lb/in

Darkness came too quick...but I need about another 1.5" drop...obviously the guys who custom wound the last springs were drinking too much I would have to cut the spring at least one whole coil to get the height I want...

looks very goodER

Since your posting suspension and brakes in the Performance thread(they do have their own thread called, guess what..."Suspension and Brakes") you better be cutting sub 1.8 60s at the 'strip!

Glad to see the enthusiam.

You still have not said what happened to the Series II, only speculation on what the III might offer.  Just curious but if not much changed between the two models why change?

...that is for stock suspension and brakes... if I can cut a 2.0 60' that will be all I need...I love my tranny

Nothing really 'happened'...remember I have been using the same engine since '98 although I had less than 45,000 miles on the L36 turbo...it would turn out later in the yrs to be a proto for me. I was putting together another L36 before the unfortunate accident sometime last yr...had to let that go to pay for some damages on both my car and other (hit) vehicle. Anywayz to make a long story short...from the things I started to learn, to apply it to my car would have meant the engine had to come out eventually...putting in the same engine seemed unpalatable, my ppl who actually was the driver in the unfortunate incident located a series III locally and ideas started to fly around...we found somone (actually group) who wanted to put a 3800 (l36) into a reatta...we convinced them to to buy the L36 turbo. They bit...and here we are
One of the main reasons for me was traction, our (beretta)suspension geometry is just not the best for cutting low 60'...and I don't want to run slicks...so rather than making a TQ monster...I might as well gain it at the top via more RPM. The Series III can sustain itself when winding...I am not looking for a high RPM motor...at least if I can shift the motor at 6K rather than the stock numbers I might gain what I lost at the bottom... theory ÂÂÂ
Then there are the heads...this cannot be corraborated...yet, I mentioned the exhaust valves been bigger than the previous yrs (L36)...if you notice most times 3800 buick variants have 205hp rather than the 200hp commonly known; this may or may not be the reason...if it were though then I am in luck ...Finally I spec'd a "turbo cam" however I did not put this in...I need to know what this thing can do stock, if it responds well I will just be one heck of a ^^^ 'yellow dancing banana' ÂÂÂ

Yeah $50 cnd purchused from any performance shop they were 8mm but I dont think that .8mm would triple the price.  $150 is way too much thats just crazy.  Mine are MSD Heli-Core wire set which have angle plugs and a HEI Cap.  Part # 3116.

Oh yeah and most importantly they are USA made.
1991 Cavalier Z24- Racing seats, MSD wires, relocated MSD coils, 2.5" exhaust, ported exhaust manifolds, high volume oil pump, poly grafite front end, 92+ brake upgrade, drilled and slotted rotors, 1.5" lowering, 17" Klasse wheels...

Future Plans: 18's, paint, rear discs, more horsepower...

Thanks Holst...'preciate that...I was starting to think no one cares
...seriously though I would love more feedback...

Ok so here is what I decided to settle with...this dash has been with my upholstery guy for 4 blipping years. The owners father had to put this together because his son 'decided' to have a nervous break down and flee the country...
what did I learn here...
* Friends and business don't always mix...
* don't put up all the mula for a job...till it is finished...no matter what

Now I feel better...of the soapbox!!

Are those Corbeau Clubman?

I still have fond memories of mine, though girls wearing skirts cursed me and the car because of them :P

Why the newer dash?
IMHO:
I like the old school look.

You're legally sane still, right?
