Well the past few RAINY days have been interesting, but I've managed the following:
Removed carpet
"fixed" the rust on the floor
removed my cowl cover/wipers/wiper motor enough times to do it in my sleep
fixed my firewall/cowl leak
put in my power window harness
put in my black carpet (which now smells like nasty ass Fabreeze, I knew that was a bad idea)
put a new inner dew strip on my driver side door (thanks Brett!)
put in a new connector for my gear selection light (thanks again Brett!)
drained my battery (oops)
broke the mounting point for one of my seat rail bolts
removed hood heat shield crap
wire wheeled and repainted a rusty spot under the hood
miss having music in the car dearly
spend more money on a gift for my friend than I did for this entire week's ordeal

The moral of this story is twofold: Make sure you own a car to drive while you have yours torn apart so you don't have to partially put it back together to drive to work each day at 5:30 am in the rain with no wipers, and work harder on making your carpet odor free. lol

^^^ You're welcome Mark! If you want to come over tomorrow or wed, we can drill and put a self-tapping bolt into your seat rail, and we can also try to fab up a floor plug to replace the one that rusted apart, and put your new shiny doors on! And go rape that Black Z26 at the yard for it's precious fog light wiring! Zing! :good:

Yeah I'm free both days. (just work til 10 am tomorrow). I have to clean up the garage a bit and put my toolbox back together but that shouldn't take long. I'd love to get these things taken care of.

When I was putting my seat back in the other night in the rain for work i broke the mounting point of the back bolt on the other seat rail lol. Fail rail. Now its a screw with a chunk of metal attached to it.. I was pissed but what can ya do?

Been there, done that. Had to weld a nut to a piece of sheet metal, then weld that back into the structure, AND in the right place so it would work again. Sucked. I have a pic of that nightmare someplace in my project thread. Will edit and post it in a minute.

Stop rubbing the salt into the wounds... LOL

I washed mine today, went to take pictures, only to find out I left my good camera up north, so dug out the old Olympus... Good lord it takes crappy pics, compared to the Panasonic. I don't remember it being that bad... lol

I pulled the drivers seat cushing up to find out why my back had been hurting every time after driving the black car. The seat structure has failed and i have no lower back & lumbar support anymore on this seat.

Another thing I'd LOVE to discuss with GM engineers is the design of these seats, WTF were they thinking?!

Pulled both door panels today to get to the rearview mirrors. They were flopping around pretty bad. I just added another washer to what was already therer and that solved the issue, I HOPE. Put all new snap things in the door panels so the panels are nice and snug to the door today. Then I went through it and cleaned it up real well. It actually cleaned up real nice. I also took pics of the doors with the door panels off to show how clean they were, rust free.
