Having eight cylinders doesn't hurt either. haha

Tiffany is working this weekend so I'm hoping to have it running. Still no end in sight for all the OT I'm working now, but the paychecks are nice.

I'd save some of those checks up - don't know how this economy is going to pan out...

IT LIVES!!!

Need to fab my new exhaust and bleed the brakes & clutch, but it's close. And swap the rear end.

You dont see 4-cylinders with 400ftlbs at 2000rpm though...

Ford is doing that Eco-Boost v6 F150 now as a similar idea. With a truck you want the power right down low though.

That's why they call it "low end grunt". LOL

Though to be fair, the only way you can get it lower would be to go turbo diesel. lol

Got my free 1500 emblems from a GMT400 member and snapped a pic of the "PlastiDipped" bump strips. That is officially every last ounce of chrome on the truck gone now.

Also fabbed my exhaust for the header to cat. The long tube collectors come too far back for the factory crossover location, so I had to bring it over between the tcase and the torsion bar crossmember. It's tight with the torsion bars, front driveshaft and transfer case in the way, but I've got about 1/2-3/4" in all directions for clearance, so it should be fine.

to be technical, you would have to remove every peice of stainless steel on the truck to actualy not have any Chrome.....lol

Exhaust looks awesome. wish i had the time to do stuff like that.

Ok, what is left then? haha

Exhaust killed a whole day to do, and the muffler back section was done 2 years ago. Probably a half day or so. It actually took less time than the Beretta!

Did you have any issues with the clearance between the header and slave cylinder? My friend's 1500 sport (stock 5-speed) had to have some creative exhaust work done to clear it.

This K3500 slave setup is weird, but there was plenty of room. The slave is actually right under the starter on the pass side...the hydraulic line is 72"! haha
