Re: Just Pulled Over A GTZ

Post by gtzed91 »

Its a 90'. Lowered on Eibach pro springs, custom 2.5in dual exhaust, CAI, and it has different cams that were put in by the previous owner. My headlights all of the sudden stopped working last night when I left work. Running lights and interior lights work but for some reason the headlights will not come on. I checked fuses and the bulbs but I still cant figure it out. Any suggestions?

Try a headlight switch. Mine took a crap and I had to drive home on foglights

Or the headlight dimmer switch. The switch that changes your headlights from low beams to high beams. Why they call it a dimmer switch I will never know. Mine died on me and caused my lights to go out.

And you say that you have a CAI... I would be very interested to see a pic of it as to the best of my knowledge, you would be the first person ever to have a CAI on their Quad. As long as it is truly a CAI that is.

The dimmer switch is not there any more, Iam guessing a previous owner wired around it somehow. Any other ideas?

The dimmer switch was gone and the headlight swicth was wired directly to the headlights but the wire nut holding it togather came un done. Tied it up and, hey the headlights work.

This thread got that stupid "it's a small world after all" song stuck in my head.

I always wondered how a gtz would look with those z24 rims.

I had a issue with my dimmer switch....i had to,replace it every month. I must have had a short. So I just hooked up som hids and powered them straight to the cigarette lighter. I dont smoke so I dont need it
